After issuing court mandate , GSK has 30 days to pay.
So by end of January expect funds be paid.
All the best to all !!!

Just taken a few more 124p. Relaxed here.

Looking forward to GSK emerging onto the scene with the cheque book, either to pay damages or buy us out.

Either way newsflow should be positive....also want to know the numbers from Hikma 1 or 2 months into Advair sales.

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast a few days before Xmas and part of our discussion includes VEC. We also chatted about loads of other Stocks and Ideas for research. We discussed the outlook for Markets and the most likely roadmap for the next couple of months, and as usual a fair bit of educational stuff with regards to Investing.

Anyway, if you use Youtube, Apple, Audioboom, Overcast or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want Podcast TPI 38) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below.

I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, we try to keep them light and they are totally unscripted, not like all the stuffy financial fodder you are probably more used to !!

Season’s Greetings !! WD

Do you think a blocking acquisition of hikma is possibly subject to anti trust/ Anti competitive allegations...what do folks think here?

Still outside chance GSK don't want to give the money away to VEC, and maybe have a go at stymie Advair and Ellipta generics with Hikma by making a cheeky bid. Time will tell

Hold tight to your ticket Richtea the train might just pick up speed but not sure it will be at top speed in 2021. You and I have been on it for a fairly hairy ride over quite a long time but I have a feeling it might get more interesting in the next couple of years.

Nice finish again everything taken in the auction at 120p.

Cheap, you can't deny cheap.

After the £130m from GSK, and the Advair deal coming home.....150p....yet the markets dont won't to give it just yet....they will though

A small point but I don't buy the idea that VEC having £200m+ cash on its balance sheet necessarily makes it a more attractive acquisition. It could be that a company with such an 'inefficient' balance sheet will be undervalued, but any takeout would have to be at a big premium so this argument wouldn't help in a takeover scenario. If a large acquiring company actually needed/wanted the cash wouldn't it be easier for them to arrange finance from banks or the equity market in the normal way, rather than make an acquisition? I may have overlooked an accounting angle, but isn't cashflow rather than cash on the balance sheet what would attract a bidder?
My guess as to what VEC will do with the money, assuming they get it, is a mixture of special dividend/buyback, a regular dividend policy, and over time bolt-on acquisition(s) to bolster the company's IP.

alord royalties on sales up to mid 2021, no one knows what they are as the sales haven't taken place, and new sales are taking place daily.

So either we draw a line now, pay whats due and then seek further payment of royalties up to mid 2021 sales later.

Either way quite complicated....but a nice problem for VEC shareholders

It will be 6 weeks after receipt of mandate from the court, as they need to work out the exact sum based on sales and interest - effectively the invoice for payment.

Thanks a1ord53 for following up on that. I'm with you on the likelihood of further litigation fights from GSK.

Roll on 2021, the receipt of monies and the new discussion of what to do with the cash? VEC could really boost their earnings with the right acquisition...although i have no candidates to mention.

With the adjusted EBITDA to share price level, on cash receipt, VEC might become a target once more, as cash is rarely fully reflected in the share price The rest of the business is becoming a nice resale package too...

Volvo, Delaware district court already defined in judgment what they have to pay. So in my understanding is nothing to discuss.

Thanks alord for the confirmation re GSK.

My understanding is 6-8weeks from the 19th November so latest day for payment is 19th January.

The company is in contact with GSK I understand, going through the figures as it is quite complicated re certain sales and royalties. Either way news coming soon.
