17/11/2019 09:51 | FT just now: Independent African energy company finds oil off Ghana coast Springfield Group set to reveal deepwater discoveries it says will be bigger than Jubilee field (Stena Forth) Springfield currently operates in the West Cape Three Points Block 2, about 60-kilometres off the coast of Ghana. | ![]() billy_buffin
17/11/2019 08:40 | Don't know if this has been flagged before... "October 31st, 2019 – Georgetown, Guyana – The second annual conference taking place November 20-22 in Georgetown is cited to be the event of 2019 for the oil industry in Guyana." hxxps://www.totaltec Tullow are sponsors amongst the usual crowd. Should hear more definitive plans across the whole Guyana piece. And may be an opportunity for the current drillers to update the Guyanese and us hard pressed P.I.s. | carlosalberto70
17/11/2019 08:35 | Thanks xx, Gas injection as you suggested last week may be the answer ,we need to be free of any consraints, and see full oil production with a sustained long run. | ![]() subsurface
17/11/2019 07:44 | Gas was free to begin with SS up to a preset number, which was reached about 3 yrs after start up. Somewhat bizarrely Ghana/Rosneft seem to be building an LNG import facility at TEMA, which will import 250mmscfd. In 2018, a gas price of US$ 2.90/mmBTU was negotiated between GNPC and Ghana Gas for both Jubilee and TEN Fields. | ![]() xxnjr
16/11/2019 20:50 | Africa press Seems convienient that we have production issues and Ghana cannot take the gas volume and they are in agreement with ENI take or pay, we were giving the gas free from Jubilee I seem to remember?. Uganda | ![]() subsurface

15/11/2019 23:38 | Oil could be on the rise to help the Saudi IPO in December which in turn helps Tullow over this difficult period,The none operated portfolio has been performing well, and we have Carapa on the go, We need solutions for Ghana,Uganda, and Kenya as well as a clear path in Guyana. | ![]() subsurface
15/11/2019 20:03 | He means next week... Lets face it.. I think majority of us agree that it is very likely to be the case of £1.70 and possibly above that by the end of the week. (Next) Sell off overdone as usual and then the build up back to more realistic share price | ![]() whites123
15/11/2019 17:34 | It is the end of the week | ![]() leoneobull
15/11/2019 17:05 | back to 160 to 170 by the end of the week and perhaps even before. | ![]() monopoli44
15/11/2019 17:03 | if this is to be believed there is light oil in the area | manicat
15/11/2019 16:47 | when we get the news on carapa the interesting thing will be (if its a discovery) how long it will take to tell the market what type of oil it is. i mean how long does it take to test oil ? in tullows case 3 months + | manicat
15/11/2019 15:20 | I'm out. 7 p on one trade that hit it's limit and I closed the other manually just above it's stop for 3.5p. I have no positiion over the weekend | ![]() stupmy
15/11/2019 14:53 | I can't stay to watch how this trade pans out so I've moved my stops up to give a minimum profit and put a limit on one of the two positions. I imagine both will be closed by the time I'm back. I also suspect that sitting and watching would give a bigger profit. | ![]() stupmy
15/11/2019 14:43 | The great....Obviously. It is something to do with the shale calculations mixed in with crude price. one is in over supply and one under you better find the article | ![]() ch1ck

15/11/2019 13:50 | Get ready for the real bounce ... | ![]() g2theary
15/11/2019 13:42 | Would be interesting to hear from someone who's actually worked at the sharp end of a rig, as to whether it would be obvious, from the cuttings table, that the oil was stuffed with sulphur..... | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
15/11/2019 13:41 | heavier oil in the shallow targets , lighter in the deeper targets is hardly unique. Exxon Liza field is 2000-2500m deaper than Joe Discovery. If oil found at Carapa id expect it to be lighter than Joe but not as light as Liza. Also , Carapa is one of the biggest prospects in the TLW Guyana licenses and is in the same cretaceous layer as Liza but shallower. Mkt sell off probably pricing in Carapa dissapointment but a good find could see it overshoot in the upside direction | ![]() surfer2
15/11/2019 13:24 | Hello mcsean2164 probably depends on Carapa-1 now. | ![]() xxnjr
15/11/2019 13:18 | Good grief, Eye off the ball, what s disaster, just before Christmas too! Xxjnr, Agree, potential is leading. Any ideas where it goes from here? | ![]() mcsean2164 |
