13/11/2019 16:07 | 800m GBP off the market cap today. Does that seem justifiable? | ![]() dealy
13/11/2019 15:53 | Interesting about the divergence of opinion Carlos. Sounds like, TLW only want to drill a cheap well, whereas Total would like to drill something much bigger, albeit with a higher risk. Maybe a cretaceous prospect? All down to Carapa-1 in the short term. | ![]() xxnjr

13/11/2019 15:26 | TLW don't do CPR's generally speaking, unless making a meaningful acquisition. If there is a CPR, then that is all down to the ECO spin machine. Tullow have been saying. We will drill first 3 wells, then re-process the seismic, then decide next steps. | ![]() xxnjr
13/11/2019 15:25 | GH recently mentioned three wells next year but I'm afraid we have to take non rns info with a pinch of salt after this, or should I say dollop. The last two CPR's were commissioned by ECO. As an example of the above and the 4 bn barrels, he today said in the Proactive interview "two and a half.... almost 3 billion barrels in the Cretaceous and one to one and a half billion in the Tertiary." It's all far too loose outside of rns releases. | ![]() captain james t kirk
13/11/2019 15:15 | I have not checked for any meeting notes from last night, but a few things are worth reporting. Gil mentioned that Tullow are waiting for the Carapa result, for a new CPR. However at the end of his talk he clearly stated that there would be one issued in 3-4 weeks. Which didn't make sense to others at the event or me. Have they done one already on the back of Jethro and Joe ? Are they going to issue one unilaterally ? Anyone else there please clarify if I have got the wrong end of this stick. As to new drillings, he said there was a difference of opinion between Total and Tullow in that Total want to go for the biggest target, whereas TLW want to do the Jethro channel. But again I thought we were already committed to 2 further wells, next year,in the block. I will have to re read the capital budget allocation again. Discovered in the 2 wells just less than 8% of 4bn prospective resources, which = 300 million barrels. Asked why TLW didn't seem particularly fired up about new wells on the block, he answered that they were committed to spend money in Peru and Surinam and had a limited budget. But now we know the real reason ! A lot on, non TLW related, Namibia, which he was obviously trying to bull up. | carlosalberto70
13/11/2019 14:36 | although a long term holder of a few shares here inherited from my dad, these are now in my opinion the bargain of the century so took a punt & bought 20k today & expecting a very healthy return over the next 12 months, Very typical stock market over reaction, & may see a good return by the end of the week. | ![]() jugears

13/11/2019 13:36 | For anyone interested I did get the buy signal on the 15 min chart. I now have a target of 174, but that is a moving target and it's coming down all the time. I've put a stop at my entry price at 149 and cannot now lose money on this speculative trade. I won't hold it overnight. I have no idea whether the news represents a truly serious problem (anything interfering with debt reduction is a serious problem here) or whether the selling represents an over reaction. Alfiex, the comment you're using as an example might come back to bite you on the backside if this isn't a serious problem. It may not be disingenuous. | ![]() stupmy
13/11/2019 13:26 | Posted 16th Sept missleading or whatAngus McCoss, Exploration Director, commented today:"I am very pleased that we have made back-to-back discoveries in Guyana and successfully opened a new, shallower play in the Upper Tertiary age of the Guyana basin with our second well. The Joe-1 discovery and its surrounding prospects represent another area of significant potential in the Orinduik Block and we are greatly looking forward to the next phase of the programme as we continue to unlock the multi-billion barrel potential of this acreage." | ![]() alfiex
