I will start buying soon

Meanwhile, I am very happy accumulating rock solid recovery plays FOXT (no debt) & (STX) , not a recovery play, just a solid play on the back of a huge FDA broad label approval, excellent and well received City investor presentation last night, ahead of expected major US commercialization deal announcement.

well lets see:-

Uganda hit the buffers.
Kenya still shunting wagons in the sidings.
Bus replacement service in Ghana.
Guyana just got derailed.
Forgot to mention the train to nowhere "The Cormoros Express".

It's an advantage of accepting that I know little about oil and just watching technical analysis. When news seems good, you watch the bulletin boards and see that most posters have a very optimistic view. Look at it now. News is less optimistic and the views on the bb have swung to the downside. Using TA/charts (just data on net buying/selling activity really), I don't have to worry about things that I can never know. I used to work so hard at understanding companies and it did me no good at all as far as trading was concerned. One out of hours announcement and you can be off 40%. That's a big loss and stops (unless they are guaranteed stops) won't help you with it. For what it's worth there has been no 15 min buy signal according to the methods I use. Price is now below 159 which I had as potential daily/weekly support line and the next daily support is around 140 from my reading (you could argue the support is an area ranging from 145-139). After that I have a weekly support area between 113 and 125. Price could turn around at any time, but very often buying starts at perceived supports. If you look at a monthly chart I have supports at 139, 134.5 and 113.4. Worryingly, there is a gap that would close at 85. I'd not seen that before. For me, it's not worth buying until the chart gives a buy signal. It could go lower yet.

This RNS really puts in to doubt the discoveries made at Guyana, Uganda and Ghana

Jubilee was going to be mammoth, clearly not now

Where it settles is anyone's guess

It's noteworthy perhaps that Total didn't 'RNS' Guyana discoveries.

Been a holder of TLW off and on for many years now. The question for me? Is the Tullow management team investable. At the very least the Jethro/Joe saga is slight of hand and words like "potentially transformational" should not have been used when they announced the find if they really hadn't a clue about the oil quality.

This is part of a long line of surprise disappointments over the last two years and I for one am beginning to think this management team is naive and/or incompetent.

Much Saudi crude is heavy sour crude, Buzzard has a lot of sulphur.... point is it costs to remove the sulphur.....at Buzzard they needed to put in a new platform to lower sulphur levels

Worse price now than before Guyana finds. So basically Guyana worthless, Uganda worthless and Ghana struggling. Difficult to find anything good here now, even management!

Wording..........

Does the dissimilar refer to the API and sulfur.........or does it refer to "mobile".

Very crafty wording.

They dont say the same.......... so what does not dissimilar mean ? Whats the margin of difference ? Definition lacking generally means definition not wanted to be made.

All very flowery wording.

Fluid samples were taken in both of the wells and were sent for analysis by the Operator. The complete fluid analysis has not yet been received however, initial results suggest that the samples recovered to date from Jethro-1 and Joe-1 are mobile heavy crudes, not dissimilar to the commercial heavy crudes in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, the Campos Basin in Brazil, Venezuela and Angola, with high sulphur content. Not dissimilar to heavy crudes in north sea and so on So that's the same is it not ?

Looks like to me the API and Sulfur content levels is being hidden, so they dont have to say its not commercial yet.

Probably hoping Carapa comes good, then write off Joe and Jethro....or bury Joe and Jethro with Carapa if thats bad as well, write it all off in one go if needs be ??

I'm not at all qualified in oil, but I think that if there was a perception that this information had been known and not published, it might raise questions of trust for investors.

..Par for the course with an AIM stock.... not TLW though!! Struggling to understand why they didn't know much earlier....

On a brighter not, there is now an upside gap to fill to 205. That can take an awful long time to fill so it's not a reason to buy. Wait for evidence that the price has hit a bottom and turned and you might make some money out of this.
