13/3/2024 08:50 | If it were to do with size of holdings, there would be no point posting so frequently and acidicly ( re.Ab76 or the company. No point posting at all. And no point tearing the company to shreds( as justified as it may be) urging others to do what you are not willing to do yourself. That simple. | nocents
13/3/2024 07:27 | What’s the current yield expected to be with the expected special dividend? Trinity would be a great target for an activist investor to become involved with. They would collect a healthy dividend while working to release value from trinity’s substantial assets. | aqc888

12/3/2024 12:04 | What people need to bear in mind about this BoD is that the share price has suffered not only because of their bad decisions (hedging, a failed conventional drilling campaign, Jacobin) but also because of the way and the order in which they have presented news - e.g. creating unrealistic expectations on one hand and not facing up to bad news either quickly or fully enough on the other. Right now, for example, I suspect the market knows all too well that Jacobin is a complete bust at the lower levels. The BoD could arguably have come clean about that at the end of last year and tried to refocus hope on the shallower levels. Instead, complete radio silence while they faff around with a pump, next update mid-April when they will be forced to admit what I suspect they have known well enough about the Jacobin lower levels for months. In other words, we are stuck in the 30s because the market suspects that the next significant news is that bad Jacobin news. If the BoD had kitchen sinked it all at the end of last year we could have moved on and been at 50p+ on the hope of something meaningful from the Jacobin shallows (with the potential for profitable shallow development wells). This is not to say that I think the Jacobin shallows will deliver something meaningful - but they might. The BoD missed a simple chance to refocus and refresh. They have got to go. People on here often talk about catalysts. This BoD have given us a string of catalysts that have come to nothing. But think about what an effective catalyst ejecting some or all of them could be. They are not running this business for your benefit and the market knows it and is punishing you for it. I really have nothing more to say. | arlington chetwynd talbott
11/3/2024 19:56 | It is not baiting. As I have said before, the problem is that, although he is not learning from his TRIN mistakes, he still seems to influence a number of TRIN shareholders. They should not let themselves be influenced by him - he will still be urging them to bear with this inept BoD when TRIN is at 10p! Folk need to grab the tar and feathers and run the BoD out of town, whether Ab76 joins them or not. | arlington chetwynd talbott
11/3/2024 17:11 | Arl, baiting him is not helpful. I doubt we will achieve 5% regardless. Just have to hope the BoD make no further screw ups. | nafafa
11/3/2024 16:46 | Essential to criticise. I do not have enough of an interest to make running an ejection campaign worth the effort but many on here clearly do and will regret it if they let the dampener that is Ab76 talk them out of it. | arlington chetwynd talbott
11/3/2024 14:44 | I will say it again: complacent shareholders get the share price they deserve. | arlington chetwynd talbott
10/3/2024 21:01 | He remains something of an apologist for this inept BoD, so his participation seems unlikely. But I am clear that 5% could be found without him, though folk may need to cast their nets outwith the Pavey Ark thread. | arlington chetwynd talbott
10/3/2024 18:46 | I suspect that to get this up to 5% we would need Andrew Byles to join us! As I recall he has a substantial holding. | nafafa
10/3/2024 17:56 | This inept BoD is still in post. The large shareholders are complacent. Q.E.D. | arlington chetwynd talbott
10/3/2024 17:19 | I think it is wrth saying that I doubt the large shareholders are complacent. They will probably have communicated at some stage with the BOD, although if they have, whayt is their view? They can afford to be on a loss, although their losses are very large. I hope they are liaising. But either way, we are just being ignored. No communication at all.No BOD share purchases. JB owns a fair few though and has an LTIP which did not pay out because of the poor share price. Menzies and Clayton hold a tiny handful of shares. Essentially, they are not grossly affected. Salary comes in. They can wait 2-3 years or indefinitely. The large shareholders are stinging though. Winther holds 8% and although a wealthy manable to pay bills, it is a huge loss. Segel and Newlands are, I believe, in trusts but maybe not Newlands( 10%). We should not underestimate their losses at probably at least 50% as some bought in the Placing 2018 at £1.60 This is a tricky one, but if Trin just won’t communicate, what are we to think?? I emailed 2 weeks ago via Vigo. Not even a reply. Trin could sell assets, farm-in, be taken over etc or fly to Never Never Land. We can’t know anything as they don’t contact or communicate anything. Best scenario…asset sale, merger re. Galeota or BA or outright sale ( my preference). Or Never Never Land . I have been eating the wrong mushrooms again so who knows? | nocents

10/3/2024 15:40 | It feels like the current share price reflects the perception that TRIN is stuck with this inept BoD. Anything that challenges that perception, even just by causing them embarrassment, has to be a good thing. Who knows where it might lead? The complacency has to end, so every share has to count. | arlington chetwynd talbott
10/3/2024 15:31 | SR. It is a mode of communication. It may well achieve nothing. Petitions often achieve nothing. But they communicate dissatisfaction. And it doesn’t matter who leads Their nature is irrelevant. The act is symbolic. Some of us have trusted Trin for over a decade. The last year has been the most questionnable regarding trust. They may not care for us at all,and we may just be an irritation, but they need to regain market trust. To do nothing and roll over is an error in my/our view. Why let a personal fallout affect it, unless you genuinely believe it is of no avail. I am constantly at loggerheads with PA. That’s life. | nocents
