08/9/2020 16:03 | Another gift here | h0me
07/9/2020 14:33 | seems that any company that is offering an 'online' service is seeing institutional support. Only need to look at Autotrader and Future (which have better business at the moment) to see sky high valuations. My guess is that Trainline's supporters are looking through the dip to when things recover...and as long as they don't go bust then it has quite a strong online presence. But still way too expensive IMHO | catscats
07/9/2020 14:23 | Yeah, this stock should be trading like an airline but seems to be holding up much better. Even after those big director sells | msehs
07/9/2020 13:32 | Looks like they are opening more services in prep for people to go back to the office. | donmaka
07/9/2020 12:56 | Train passenger numbers are still at 30% according to BBC news today | msehs
07/9/2020 12:25 | Alot of support today | donmaka
04/9/2020 06:47 | Tourists must account for some revenues too, so naturally they will be potentially less | texaspete2
03/9/2020 07:49 | The results for 2020 are a write off but you could imagine a general decline going into subsequent years due to WFH, prolonged virus fears | msehs
03/9/2020 07:48 | And yet still people are buying this. Valued nigh on £2billion. | h0me
03/9/2020 07:22 | Thanks TexasPete. I did a rough calculation there. TRN get 7% of ticket sales. Assuming a drop in ticket sales of between 50% to 70% during March-August then I have their operating income at a loss of between £25m to £45m for the half year. It might be better than this is they have made a significant saving in fixed costs during this period but I haven't picked up any data on that. | lyndon b
02/9/2020 21:45 | website now updated, H1 FY21 Trading Update scheduled for 17th Sept. High volume last 2 days. | texaspete2
01/9/2020 15:01 | yeah agree but the support of 365p seems to be holding again, who knows why! | texaspete2
01/9/2020 13:38 | So many red flags an people still buy... Good luck to you but 95% of pi's are short. | inthemix
01/9/2020 10:31 | Mmmmmmm.....unless the trading update will blow out the numbers (virtually impossible) | msehs
01/9/2020 09:39 | Some people have suggested that some sort of placement might be in the offing. Wouldn't it be dodgy, to say the least, if that was the case and the director sold her share shortly before the announcement? | rafieh
01/9/2020 08:41 | Quite a shocking RNS like you say with a delayed trading update, it does smell a bit off, 800,000 is circa 10% of her share holding as per the last annual report (8.5m ref May 2020) | texaspete2
01/9/2020 08:14 | omg wtf , still no trading update business re falling off a cliff and an insider dumping a lorry load of stock! well if that is not insider dealing then I don't know what is....... | technovator
01/9/2020 07:47 | The last two posts are topical with the CEO selling £3.2m worth of shares at the end of August. I don't know how many she owned/now owns, but it is a fair chunk to offload. | lyndon b
28/8/2020 09:49 | Try sharecast.com under director dealings, however I find this site not always up to date. IMO the largest holders aren't the well known funds. I actually then looked at director dealings and there have been very few transactions which doesn't signal much confidence by the directors. I also think it is odd that the new COO hasn't purchased any shares. I am starting to think that a placing will be on its way to shore up the balance sheet in response to what must have been a terrible trading period. In the meantime strength in share price must be looking forward to future earnings, anything online seems to be getting the benefit of the doubt at the moment in my view. | texaspete2
27/8/2020 13:49 | Does anyone know the profile of the institutions who have the highest shareholding in Trainline? | msehs
27/8/2020 12:25 | Gift that just keeps giving! Get your tickets to the short train. | h0me
26/8/2020 12:54 | Results should half this sp, no idea who an why people are buying it. | inthemix
25/8/2020 15:54 | Cheers Msehs. | lyndon b
25/8/2020 13:32 | I asked them & they said update will be Sep but no date. I think they are holding off as long as possible so they can quote the most recent (small) improvement in numbers. The government releases official passenger numbers on Oct 1st | msehs
25/8/2020 10:08 | On Sept 12 last year they gave trading update on the six months up to the end of August and then followed this up on Nov 5 with the interim results. I can only think that March-August trading will be horrific. There are no future announcement dates set on their website. That said, in July 2019 they gave a Q1 trading update......yet to see that this year too! | lyndon b |
