Solg has held up extremely well on a difficult day. Only dropped a tad that bodes well going forward in my opinion.Again l don’t let the constant barrage influence as we know news could pop up at any time. I was surprised by the takeover talk at CEY and LTG Sometimes these things appear to leak but usually it comes out of the blue. Or management take it through. Whatever happens it is a very desirable resource coming up to a pivotal time. I would tick you up Louie but for the language. But each to their own. 8-)

Up on gold and copper prices or just the possibility of a takeover .

There could be a takeover. They could increase their stake. Anything could happen!

FJ, a bid has been "imminent" here since I first started watching this share in 2016. The dreamers have held on to that dream of a takeover up to 40p and back down again at least three times since then, holding and holding and adding and adding until even the ones who first bought in at 2p are now underwater and even a bid would be 25p max, not 40p now. It's been a disaster for long term holders... The more loyal you have been, the more you have been shafted down the years. They need to let go of the dream and grab what little profit can be wrung out here. This share is a casino for traders, but a graveyard for investors.

Dave the 5p was a daft call along with Logan air. Best start a new account. Toast told you when to load up, I also told you we would see no double or nonsense like that. The brave will make 10 bag plus over the next 5 to 7 years. Redknight/rougepierre is still ramping the takeover nonsense. Nobody is buying us out ya thick under water scum bag. Will be many years before a take out.

lurker, there are certain zealots who will never be convinced 100p is unattainable. IMV, anything over 20p should be seriously considered and the longer they wait, the lower the potential bid price. The absence of a bidder suggests price expectations from the key stakeholders remain too high. Any bidder needs to win BHP, Newmont (via the NCM takeover) and Nick. Between them, they control around 40% of the shares. I believe Nick is the most likely to have unreasonable expectations but BHP may just decide not to sell at any price to snub Nick. Throw in Jiangxi who may resist any non-Chinese bid and we can start to see why selling SOLG is not easy.
