Worth noting the AGM is next week. It would be nice to see a detailed work programme for both Egypt and VN. I won't be able to make this one but hope that others will.

maybe Soco should take a look at SDX, has a lot of potential but poor execution. Would give them some great assets at a cheap price

It looks like we are roughly valued at $14 per barrel 2P. Seems cheapish, and we have Egypt and Vietnam blocks 125/126 in for free.

License extension seems likely to happen at some point, but production by then is going to be maybe 2-3,000 barrels a day, maybe another 5mmboe on reserves, or 15p on the share price.

Thanks for the feedback what's your opinion on Egypt being a success? Is it a binary bet?

very, very , seldom post, but i have made a few bob over the years from SIA but, in order to make that have sold a shed load. so now my holding is not a lot , but still watch with interest. by the way the divi is ok as well. just do not want to offload at these prices ( overall after the early giddy gains when I sold, the remainder still, i think after divis, have a small gain)
does not help but out there are still investors who watch and perhaps>>> wait???

Remember there is a good chance (per mgmt team at least) of extending the license a further 5 years.

Trouble is that production has been dropping for the last 6 years, reserves are being written off, and the licence end dates get closer and closer.

Egypt might save the day, but remains to be seen.

With a 4th consecutive yoy increase in dividends why this share keeps falling? with the price of oil rising a sustaining rising dividend is achievable this makes no sense why the share price is dropping?

Charts - or “reading”; charts to try and judge investment timing and actions - is a very sad display of what psychologists and others call “pareidolaR21;.

The human brain - originally for survival - is very good and fast at interpreting patterns to detect recognisable shapes - e.g., a lion coming towards you ... but that same pattern recognition misleads us if we’re not careful into seeing meaning in random noise or movements or shapes where there is none.

Technical analysis is a total oxymoron ... it’s little better than reading tea leaves.

Buywell does not like stocks that are bad for planet Earth

There are plenty to chose from

You don't have to help destroy what is/was indeed a very beautiful and balanced creation

I’m not selling, just collecting divis.

Will check back later in the year, hopefully the share price will be above 75p by then!

.....mmmm.....weren't you in GBP? Fundamentals or charts?Charts have a role in trading currency pairs. But for less liquid, newsdriven stocks.....? Nope (even when news is slow!!)

Not quite the right metaphor! I see no indication EE is throwing the baby (fundamentals) out, just the dirty bathwater!

but charts tell you nothing about the direction of future prices

When somebody uses the word nothing (or another black and white epithet)you should generally run for the hills.
Try looking for empirical evidence to support that word nothing - you wont find any.
EE just throws ALL of the whole technical bathwater out with the fundamentalist baby.

(And I'm a 30 year investor too)

You forgot about the alleged benefits of being in the EU.

I don't need any guidance on charts, thanks. I have 40 years of experience of watching them be misapplied by others. It is, of course useful to know that others (aka mugs) will be buying or selling at certain levels - but charts tell you nothing about the direction of future prices and have little or no impact on dealing profits from news-driven stocks (though, of course, believers would have one think otherwise.....as with the alleged existence of God, climate change, etc)
