05/4/2019 11:49 | I expect there will be some major rejigging of shareholdings over the next six months - followed swiftly be some positive operational progress. Finally they have plenty of drill-ready opportunities and the cash to drill them (though very low cost wells, relative to what we've had previously in both Vietnam and Africa). | emptyend
05/4/2019 11:32 | I wouldn’t mind soco getting bought over lol | linton5
05/4/2019 00:46 | greyingsurfer 3 Apr '19 - 18:29 - 22505 of 22514 0 3 0 I agree that there was no real reason to see a rise today, but I was a little surprised to see no response to the RNS last week, announcing that it would complete today. There have been comments from people claiming the deal would fall through, which could have had a negative impact on the share price That was the moment they were proved wrong, not today. I was also thinking along the same lines! I thought markets hated uncertainty and look forward, so it would have made sense for a more positive reaction to have occured when the RNS last week was released. In the end both RNS's had no impact. SIA is definitely unloved in the O&G sector. Just hope it becomes a darling again just like old times ;-) | lauders

04/4/2019 14:56 | Apologies - missed the obvious! | redhill9
04/4/2019 14:42 | Apologies - crossed with EE response saying same thing. | pumph
04/4/2019 14:41 | If I’ve read the RNS correctly he hasn’t sold any shares - it’s a change of percentage because the number of shares has increased as part of the Merlon acquisition. Nothing to see in this at all I don’t believe. | pumph
04/4/2019 14:40 | Diluted by the issue of consideration shares yesterday...... | emptyend
04/4/2019 14:36 | RNS today showing Ed Storey's holding has gone from 4.24% to 3.54% which I calculate as being a sale of around 2.8m shares. He still holds a lot of course, but interesting timing? | redhill9
04/4/2019 12:34 | According to HL: Peel Hunt upgrades SIA to buy with a target price of 130p. | tournesol

03/4/2019 16:57 | That's what I thought so I couldn't understand why people thought the share would rise today | kasg
03/4/2019 15:51 | Laptop15, not sure why you think the share price should have reacted strongly based on the Merlon announcement yesterday - the market has been aware of this deal for several months so I would expect completion is already in the market's calculation of current value. | redhill9
03/4/2019 13:52 | EE mentioned it a few posts ago..the likes of TLW,PMO,ENQ etc have all had big 10,15,20% upside moves recently whilst SOCO has done nothing but trend lower..its just so disappointing that the company cannot get there story across and entice some big institutional support! My portfolio has been on a great run recently except for one company SOCO! Hate selling at a loss..but its like pulling teeth holding soco! | 0rient
03/4/2019 13:48 | Once it starts rising lots on the sidelines will buy in and the mms will let it go. Seen it so many times, for no reason a sudden rise in a share price. It should have risen but I believe it will soon! Good luck all :) | laptop15
03/4/2019 13:34 | Or, the (true) value of this acquisition will be proven with project delivery and until that is the case, the shares may languish (at current prices) and slowly re-value with time? | dunderheed
02/4/2019 16:23 | Interesting news, for those of us who were here debating such matters nearly 15 years ago......https://www | emptyend
02/4/2019 16:12 | Don't forget the shares as part of the deal were done last year at a premium to the current share price I Reckon we might see some big buys tomorrow as a lot missed today's big news with it being a late RNS. Or just need to read the details. | laptop15
02/4/2019 15:41 | Hopefully further news will be drip fed to maintain an upward trajectory | tyler19
02/4/2019 15:25 | Buyers coming in now :)) should he a good day tomorrow imo | laptop15
02/4/2019 15:03 | I would have liked to have seen a bit more detail as well GG. Ah well... | nigelpm
