Sirius Minerals Signs Largest Ever Offtake Deal For South America

The Supply Agreement provides for resale of POLY4 on an exclusive basis into Brazil, Bolivia, French Guaiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Surinam, Uruguay and Venezuela, and on a non-exclusive basis into Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

South America is quite big, in fact 74 times bigger than Britain, with a growing population 8 times greater than Britain. A fair size market then. This is a good deal, no idea how good, but good whatever spin people put on it!

Cibra took out a $40m loan from the World bank a year ago. Don't know if it was a "bail out" or not. Will do some research later when I have some time unless anyone else does it.

GM PPVN. This deal will increase the size of our partner by 72%. It's definitely positive news but I would rather have been a 5% owner of the biggest group in South America.

2theduke. For now the royalty component is secured over the assets of the project and it gives Gina the right to attend board meetings. Appointment of director comes when the equity component is executed and on the proviso she keeps all her shares.
If stage 2 fails and the company goes into receivership then Gina as a secured creditor will get priority over the unsecured ones. Shareholders as contributaries are ranked bottom in the food chain and will probably get zilch.
How much will the mine fetch in a firesale? $500 million?
