06/3/2019 07:59 | Chelsea, yes I had a look at that link thanks. Interesting to compare bios although you have to be a bit careful when looking at staff nos. Many of them are virtual bios - ie. they don't actually do any R&D themselves and outsource everything so obviously their staff nos. will be lower. | bermudashorts
06/3/2019 07:54 | C7, I wouldn't get too hung up on these sort of comparisons. Revenue per employee is not only sector dependent but also dependent on stage they are at. A start up will have no revenue and plenty of costs whereas a well established company may tail back r&d, have well established route to market and a loyal customer base. These will have high levels of revenue per employee, the proverbial "cash cow". If you try to make the comparison with m cap, then I think we all agree the m cap is not always representative of ip worth or potential so ratios not that meaningful.Aimo. | gazza
06/3/2019 07:49 | Hi C7 IMO there would have been a buyer for the 5m block as I cannot see the MM's wanting to take 5m SCLP at 6p for their own book as this would have been a significant gamble for them. Will be interesting to see if we get an RNS stating that an existing major holder has added 5m or whether we hear nothing further about this 5m in which case they will have gone to a new or smaller holder. | miavoce
06/3/2019 07:46 | Morning Bermuda, that is what the LSE BB is sadly missing, just "bouncing around ideas". Well i "bounced" one this morning, would be interested in your thoughts. Was very surprised to at the M/Caps of other Bios, posted that too. Seems the whole sector has taken a hiding for various reasons, and the staffing level of Scancell compared to others was high. There are a few differing opinions about that, but i really do think we have stepped up a few gears, for a very good reason. Time will tell, but lets hope the time is short. Have a good day guys, should be a few large, delayed even, trades to come. ATVB | chelsea35
06/3/2019 07:19 | Chelsea, welcome and good to see you posting here again. ONW - nice post and agree it's really useful to bounce around ideas, especially with unusual situations such as the City Financial one. | bermudashorts
06/3/2019 04:46 | Bermuda, as ever good to read your posts, you beat me to posting what other shares City have sold, and just decided not to bother about Scott Gottlieb. ATB to you, you are sorely missed. | chelsea35
06/3/2019 04:41 | Morning you guys, haven"t looked in for many months as you know. Many interesting posts the last week and well done too on City Financial. As you said ONW, you hope someone isn"t getting in cheap when it was 6.08 to buy. As you can see from my posts, i think there is and expecting to see corresponding trades this week after the 5m sell was posted up late yesterday. Hoping you guys are all well and certainly been missing your opinions during that time, very contrary to what was portrayed, I just couldn"t be doing with the petty rows, which i see do still exist and so very pointless. My best regards to you all, we agree on much...............c | chelsea35
05/3/2019 21:57 | In other news - surprise resignation from Scott Gottlieb, head of the FDA | bermudashorts
05/3/2019 21:49 | Ivy, also TR1's issued today for NTQ and ROSE - sold out completely from both but that's about it - as far as I can see there's no sign of any major selling at all before today. Worth revisiting the link you put up which details the other stocks they hold and presumably are still holding. Will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings. hxxps://www.cityfina | bermudashorts
05/3/2019 21:35 | Yep they sold out of HZM today completely so looks like a wholesale sell off | ivyspivey
05/3/2019 21:25 | Tosh - ditto lozan's 20282 Ivan - agreed, I assume that pressure from client withdrawals has forced the sale of this tranche of stock and it'll be interesting to watch the situation evolve from here. We can only hope that City Financial hurry up and clarify the future of these funds and that in the meantime if they need to sell down more to meet withdrawal requests they'll spread the selling across other stocks. | bermudashorts
05/3/2019 20:54 | Next few days will be interesting to see the following. Will they aim to sell all their stake. Is there a ready buyer as although I can’t see MMs taking 5m at 6p and hope to sell them to PIs as the volume is just not there and the margin too thin if they have not a ready buyer and want to shed more then this could get very messy. More TR1s although anyone buying from scratch may take a while to cross a notifiable threshold. All will be revealed shortly | ivyspivey
05/3/2019 20:37 | Moljen - Not so much of the 'greedy' | the real lozan
05/3/2019 20:29 | It's at times like this that I wish our Board had networked the HNW market, an opportunity has obviously arisen with our distressed seller for a party to acquire a reasonable %. I know some say let's see who has bought them but if it were one of our science partners don't you think this would have been a done deal and we'd see one announced transaction? To me this looks like a foreseen item which should have been prepared for and could quite easily have been prepared for. Love the science just this BoD and Commercial nous make me nervous. I will still add a few more with this months rent cheque but now fear we'll end up another great British could have been but it got sold on the cheap rather than a life changing unicorn. Maybe I'm just a greedy bar steward? | moljen
05/3/2019 19:33 | Just got back and saw that. Presume they will continue selling so yes interesting to see who mopsvthem up as certainly not enough PUs without trashing share price Again is a distressed seller so no fundamental change of mind by institution | ivyspivey
05/3/2019 18:40 | Ivy - yes TR1 issued and no surprises for guessing the seller. As you say, the interesting point is where they've gone. | bermudashorts
05/3/2019 18:35 | There must have been a buyer for that 5m - lets hope the remainder are disposed of in such an orderly manner (assuming they intend to sell the rest that is). - explains yesterdays price weakness. | miavoce
05/3/2019 18:18 | Of course funding is an iussue, only an idiot would dismiss it, does anyone know of one. I bet Inanaco argues with himself when he looks in the mirror. | panama7
05/3/2019 17:48 | Honestly, please go and seek some professional help. | tosh123
05/3/2019 17:42 | 5m sell from yesterday. Interesting to see if there are any corresponding trades to see to maintain an orderly market or just pure dumping | ivyspivey
05/3/2019 17:31 | subject Funding ... thread funding ... reply What ive said is that im very happy with my current position, the risk / reward profile blah blah you clearly are NOT selling .. so what is your concern ? | inanaco
05/3/2019 17:26 | What is wrong with you ? You really do need some serious help. | tosh123
05/3/2019 17:22 | so the funding question is not an issue for you tosh ... thanks for the update | inanaco |
