zcaprd7, nothing back from Schroders as yet. I was in the City this morning and it was very quiet. Perhaps there is nobody in Schroders offices!

I will request the circular from my brokers.

Excellent - anyone managed to get hold of a circular yet?

zcaprd7, I have emailed Schroders to ask which fund manager deals with their PV holding.

Let's see if they respond.

The RNS refers to the offer documents being published later on the day the RNS was released.

I cannot find it on their web site. If you hold the shares direct they (the company) should have posted it out to you. I still hold my shares through my broker. I will ask them if they have received the offer documents.

Be interesting to know what he's doing for the tender? Have the directors discussed their intentions in the circular?

'Barry' draws no salary/directors fees so what's in it for him?

I still think take a bit, leave a bit.

When I looked there was another chap Barry Garrard who used to be a director and also has 10% so you have to assume he is likely to vote the same way.

It's a risk all in all, you have to decide if they will release all the money in which case you should keep all your shares, why sell £1 for 25p? If you think they won't, or they will get caught up in legal problems, then tender them all.

gbjbaanb, now when I last checked the only director with a significant share holding was the chief exec. at circa 10%. Am I missing something? So if he tenders no shares he goes to circa 20%. That is not control. O.K. he might have a mate or three.

If you believe the management, once the German tax inquiry gets settled there will be a final distribution.

My question and the answer from the 'employee' about honesty of the management and their previous actions gives me some hope.

Tender all your shares or none.

After the tender offer is complete, the directors will have a lot more shares than the rest of us, and then they will be able to block anyone trying to stop the company dissolving. So it will go private and your remaining shares well be worthless.

I think the only real option here is to accept what we can, or to go all out to get the rest of our company converted to cash, but even then I think it's going to be an impossible problem, directors (and ex directors) hold almost enough.

Then they pay themselves large salaries and slowly all your remaining equity drips away.

zcaprd7, I could not have put it better. Still tendering 50% of my shares mind.

meijiman - take the cash on offer for 50% of my shares and then be patient.

Also I have a decent position in Verditek.....which has been very rewarding so maybe I haven't lost interest completely in solar!

What do you intend to do konrad? I lost interest in following this industry some time ago. I am aware of the Chinese issue...not why it has taken so long to get to this stage whilst the ceo is getting paid.

meijiman, I have only closely followed the management for circa two years. They have been in an industry that was initially good then they met the Chinese who 'gamed' the industry by reducing prices and subsidising to drive all competition out of the business and most out of business.

How can you compete with the Chinese government?

I think calling the management 'duffers' is wrong - now slow and lead footed - yes!

As to 'going again' then just tender all your shares - you will certainly get 50% away.

Their track record is duffers..why go again with a failed bunch?

zcaptd7, I think that a bit of 'covering some downside' is required.

I agree that tendering zero is very logical, however what happens if after de-listing the directors decide to invest in a 'duffer'.

I hate it but logic says tender 50% of your holding.
