Unfortunately Forwood, our values appear to be different, so I’m not surprised (or in any way disappointed!) you seem to not like my approach.

That may well be the case michaelsadvfn 👍

Must say the sell column is looking rather empty. Looks like that was that...up we go.

pos - you're turning into Scot. Not a pleasant transformation in my view

The mark downs probably from mms reluctant to go on the bid and get caught with more stock than they want as every mm would be getting hit so they all jump out the way until they know it's cleared and boy will this fly back up .

HD, I think that you are misinterpreting what your wife means when she says that you should be 'institutionalised'

Clearly someone's selling and it's more than likely the usual suspect.

You're quite right, PoS, but let the crabby old duffer keep digging his hole, it keeps him busy.

Now then, what a weird and strange market we have today. One which sees 88E up a tad and PANR down a tad. This despite the NPV of 88E's Peregrine and Umiat assets taking a hit today after the Willow news and a concomitant increase in the attraction of PANR's assets. Hey-ho.

Possible scenario? What if the buyer of 11m shares from Otto was a regular institution who simply bought the stock because they believed in the fundamentals of the PANR investment case? If so, a reassuring vote of confidence.

Fair question about the buyer approaching Farallon first as they're the most obvious seller. Perhaps the buyer *did* approach Farallon via their broker intermediary and Farallon replied they were no longer a seller? Quite possible, maybe even probable (?) because there's still no sign of a TR-1 from CHONS. With each passing day it appears *more* likely Farallon has indeed ceased their selling or slowed down the pace of those sales. Certainly worth continuing to monitor those TR-1s. If so, good stuff and most intriguing.

Forwood - You quoted Scot, but then your following comment wasn’t aligned with Scots quote. A simple, “oh, yes, my apologies, I misinterpreted what Scot said” would suffice. Nothing wrong with apologising for getting something wrong, I have done it on occasion on this board.

Bit Coin they could have been touting it to brokers (possible) and those brokers could have shorted us down know there's another seller in town !

It shouldn't make any real difference even if they want to sell would be clear by the end of the week so no real issue.

pos - I think you're being unnecessarily pedantic, so I'll return the 'compliment'. My post was logically correct, as Soggy pointed out. Scot said one thing, I said another and mine was based on the possibility they might be an existing shareholder. It's not really a grand issue is it?

Froward "we speculate the recent seller has turned some of those shares for an instant profit?" My thoughts exactly they knew the RNS would be coming out from Otto and IMO have indeed sold some of for a decent return. It could be feasible for them to have cleared a couple of mln a day so also feasible that as like F that as soon as the brokers know they are clear with what ever they wanted to sell we should make a marked recovery...just sit tight let it play out and lets be fair it's only 11mln shares.. we've been having many days of 5mln+ and 1mln+ stateside.

GL all stay focussed on what we have !

Forwood, that’s (presumably) why Scot used the word “if” at the start of the sentence.

Am I missing something, why didn't they sell in chunks from 89p just under 3 weeks ago?Whilst it looks as though we could fall to 69 without news I'm bemused by their strategy bwtfdik............

At the risk of being pedantic, where does the 'new' holder come from? The Otto release doesn't say that. Also given the price (69p) might we speculate the recent seller has turned some of those shares for an instant profit?

It wasn't me wot bought them but I guess you knew that because I'm not a new holder. I'm not an institutional investor either, although my wife seems to think I should be for some reason. ;-)

Indeed Bought in, which is why I specifically mentioned the owners of TAPS in my post #18293 (of which Conoco is one). Getting more and more interesting IMO. Let's see what happens......

Scot

Letting the appeal fall has implications for not just 88e investors but equally for CP

This is an important final piece of the jigsaw IMHO

You don’t need to look to much further than Otto broker as the buyer. Check them out

Soggy - the statement started with ‘if’ and used the phrase ‘a new holder’ not ‘the new holder’. As such, the language is absolutely clear.

C'mon Soggy, no need for that. "new holder" means exactly that, "new". Prof Sir forwood the Unveiled made a mistake. It happens. I make mistakes *every single day of my life*. Don't you?

All that said, it would be indeed fascinating to find out the identity of the buyer.
