So they managed to botch up that then.

So clearly the 30 mil swap was them and they have been buying more or already had a few.

Never known a stock have a overhang for so long.

Remember one in OXB lasting 6-9 months then the shares went nuts 6p to 40p when they cleared.

The new investor(s) own 10% of the company, I thought it was only 5% they updated there website Also results out next Monday so will see if generation has improved and coal import price has dropped

They moved up the price a bit yesterday on nothing so it's still 6.3p which is now mid price to buy so still working that overhang

Yea just don't see there being an energy crisis anymore gas prices collapsing and coal should follow

Russian oil will indirectly get into the market by any means

The bigger point is that OPG is uniquely profitable in an environment where everything has gone wrong. Most other players are tied in to long term contracts and are haemorrhaging cash.

The Tangencos of this world are going to have to pay up. No one will invest in new capacity. The industry got destroyed by the lates noughties promotes. Profits have to be juicy to tempt people back in after the miserable last 10 years. I think the next 5-7 years margins will be healthy for many reasons beyond the collapse of coal.

Surely this ungeared company will trade near book value again. Even if it trades at only 0.7x book we make 500% from this level.

In boom years the profits could be north of £30m.

I've built my position to 800k shares I don't mind it going down further I will just buy moreBut it does get to the point where it becomes impunity and we could be trading at a 15 million quid market cap with 20 million net profit if thermal coal collaspes which it willI did email the board but haven't got a response Maybe it was the wrong email

If you are looking with a forward outlook then the coal price tank is the best news OPG have had for a year yet you can barely say anything positive.

I'm calm I just say it how it is that's all

Dave,Just because I hold some does not mean I wear rose tinted glasses. I buy or sell depending on the forward outlookAnd yes as I said before there will be an overhang from the big seller, sure MMs have kept some to sell onYou need to calm down, I recall you were a Bull in the teens but have been caught out

Must be a overhang as there has been some decent buying on this dip.

Your common sense seems to be negativity at all times. I mean if you have sold out I get it but you cannot seem to find a positive thing to say atm.

The point is coal prices have been over 400 for most of 2022 and OPG have become loss making, I know they source there Coal somewhere else but it's the same logic and now the price has plunged to a current 262, still high but a good 200 points off the highs so if the same is happening to their sourced coal then OPG should start to become highly profitable, the market normally sees these things ahead but OPG is still stuck around the lows, maybe there is still a overhang as people are buying but it's not moving.
