44k buy order in auction at 9.25p first thing, they have upped it to 9.6p in the current auction probably get filled so UT at 9.6p to show

Sentiment is a powerful thing thesedays.

I was looking at RFX results today, 6 months PBT of £3.6 mil market cap £82 million.



What did OPG make in the last quarter of full year result, over double that but not every stock is valued the same way, stocks are rewarded for constant improvement and RFX does that so has the valuation to match.

But if the word gets out that OPG is on the mend again and in a massive fashion of high profits and cash generation not to mention a massive amount of debt paid off then the rerate will be swift, just need the company to spread the world and not just on the BSE website.

It seems that the bse results postings are because the initial NCDs were issued locally and presumably traded on the exchange. There is no archive of OPG results on the site prior to the NCD being issued. Elara Capital, which advised on the recent NCD issue, is based in London but seems to be founded by Indians. We don’t know yet if, and where, the NCDs are quoted, but it may be that we continue to get results published on bse well ahead of UK announcements.

Q2 has had record electricity consumption in Tamil Nadu due partly to heatwaves boosting household demand for air con. OPG primarily sells to the industrial sector, but it also supplies TANGEDCO (the TN state power company). So OPG might also have had record demand and supply this quarter. As you say, at a time when coal prices have continued to fall. So Q2 could easily see further increases in OPG profits.

Crazy this share game, the one place we want them to tell us that things are rapidly improving is here on the LSE via a nice 7am Rns.

All we do know is the last quarter of the financial year saw a huge improvement in turnover and profits of almost £8 mil PBT.

Not sure they can maintain that for 4 quarters but £20 mil PBT for the current year makes the £36 mil current market cap look silly providing they are still highly profitable but with the coal price dropping a lot since then is there any reason not to thing things should be good !

I don’t know why (or where) TM would publish details of OPG’s results; I can only speculate they have some specialist business service company run for investment firms. There wouldn’t be any trace of such a report on the internet.

Yes, I’d seen that. I don’t understand why OPG have to republish their own figures just because they’ve been referred to by a news organization. I can’t see any significance to it.

Maybe the management has other priorities at the moment. A trading update won’t say much we don’t already know via bse. I too am looking forward to an update, I’m hoping the company is planning for growth plus a reinstatement of dividends, but I’m happy to wait.
