I finished up 0.35%.

More sun than rain in the end today, but the ever present wind is getting up again.

Decent enough day for me +0.3% xds cost me 0.2% - think I'm "owed" about 0.6% in total. Nothing moved the dial more than 0.1% either way


We went to Inverness last year and really enjoyed it. Loch Ness and the surrounding areas are beautiful and I found the Culloden battlefield really interesting. Did get fined £50 for having the wrong size carry on case by Easyjet though.

Worst fallers OSB(XD)RR.,FEVR,FNX,SNR,SDV.

Just had another sharp shower,and more forecast for tonight.

Better day today, +0.87% thanks largely to LLOY but also helped by CSN & RBGP.

I will be out and about most of tomorrow and away from the screen so will have to catch up later!

Gateside, yes it's only really the waterside area I'm at all familiar with, Discovery Centre, Science Centre etc.

No Ex dividend for me today either, so my lot are just about holding their heads above water.

Mr P the waterfront of Dundee is nice and has been vastly improved, but the city has lots of social problems.When we chose to move to Scotland, it was where I first got a job. But when we had the opportunity we moved to Inverness, which is a beautiful city.

This whole war thing is just so ridiculous. We effectively allow one lot to kill the other then risk our own lives and spend our own money to try and save the ones they haven't managed to kill. Utter lunacy.

We've done some nice work in Dundee at a couple of the visitor attractions, but not too familiar with the rest of it.

Sadly, Dundee is a dump these days, major drugs problem and anti-social behaviour. Not sure if I'm allowed to say that under the Scottish Governments Orwellian new hate speech law.

+0.2%. Mixed bag but FRES strong again as gold hits record after record and silver gets dragged up in in its wake.

Another day of appalling weather and difficult driving. 7C highest seen and 5C driving home at 8pm. Rain seemed slightly sleety on the windscreen earlier. Dundee was underwhelming. However a chat in line with another Starbucks punter in dundee saw us drive up the road to Viso Gelataria in Broughty Ferry. It was a top notch Italian for coffee and desserts, and a few deli products. Plus the castle and harbour there looked likely to be quite picturesque if the sun ever comes out.

Down 0.1% was in the -0.6 to -0.8% region for most of the day so not as bad as it could have been.

CSN, JSG, best gainers out of a poor field.

BT.A worst faller, suffering from brokers downgrade.

Cloudy scattered then overcast, 13C mostly dry.

Portfolio -0.2% mainly all down to big falls for RS1 and RSW plus ULVR and SMIN........gains for SHEL, GRG, MKS and VOD.


The sun came out for ten minutes at 4pm, other than that overcast all day with morning showers 13C.

Sainsburys this morning very busy. Prices definitely on the up again across the board. One good offer was beef joints at half price - left over from Easter I suppose. So grabbed a few of those for the freezer.

2 X £100 Ernie wins for my wife.

Wok night tonight. Stifry chicken , crunchy veg, noodles , oyster sauce...plus a glass or two of red wine :-)
