Looks like my lot bucked the trend then, albeit only just at +0.04% thanks to BP., IPF & TEK

A good business colleague of mine popped in earlier to discuss a new project where we are converting some old fittings to LED. Having bought himself a rather nice Jag F-Type about a year ago, he has now been tempted to trade it in for one of the very last ones built and very nice it looks too!

I really do think solar panels + battery storage are a no brainer in most situations. People seem happy to pay out hundreds of pounds per month on a new car which will be worth nothing in a few years, yet won't invest in something like solar which will effectively make them far better off in a few years time. It's not as if people are moving every couple of years these days.

A grey start, but at least that biting wind has gone for now - plenty of under dressed mum's complaining at the football yesterday.

I know our Seasons are not quite as they were, but the idiom March "comes in like a lion goes out like a lamb" sprung to mind.

Just had an email that I won on the Lottery Euromillions on Friday, something I rarely get involved with. Matched two tickets and won £2.30 which is less than the price of the ticket! How can a win not even cover the cost of a ticket?

Lovely sunny morning. Went for a dog walk with a friend in the afternoon and it turned pigging cold and grey. Glad we had a nice stew to go home to.

Harrogate have lost 10 home games this season so we lost 3-0 to them with another odd team selection where the players did not bother to show up. We have two fit centre backs yet played just one centre back in a back three again but the alternative fit one from the previous game. Why not play 4-4-2 with both centre backs!? It's lunacy that has now seen 13 goals conceded in 4 games after we previously only 1 conceded in six games. The manager must be trying to get himself sacked. The new independent Supporters Group are organising a first mass protest against the owner at the next home game on Friday. I expect a big turnout.

It remains really cold up here, temperature struggled to 6c, biting cold wind and intermittent heavy showers. Can't wait for warmer weather.

I was heading to a low for 2024 by close of business on Tuesday but a market rally the last few days and particularly today saw me gain on the week, my second largest investment, PHNX, doing the heavy lifting.

Best Riser: PHNX +8.57%
Worst Faller: CLI -4.43% xd

On the week: +1.42%
YTD: -2.30%

+0.3%. Small PHNX holding helped. An initial purchase of AEI on an 8.3% yield takes my trust holdings to 50% and makes up for some of the dividend cut at DEC. Just need some of those trust discounts to shrink now! DEC spoiled what could have been a good week. YTD same at -5.8%.

Mostly sun all day but a very chilly wind for the time of year. The garden mostly blocked it out so reached 12.4C after 5.6C. It's already lower now so could be frost tomorrow which should be similar with odd cold showers. Sunday looks set to be a little more pleasant. Have a good weekend, all.
