Reds tables highest offer for Crete military base



Greek developer Reds has offered the highest bid for a sprawling former US military base on Crete at 40.2 million euros, privatization agency TAIPED said on Monday.

Four investors bid in October to acquire the 85-acre plot in Gournes, outside the city of Iraklio, and turn it into a seaside tourist resort with an entertainment park.

TAIPED, which is handling the sale, initially chose three of them and last month unsealed their offers.

Nice blue day on what looks like nett sells of 670k if my assumptions of buys/sells is correct. I almost hit overall profit at the peak bid.
I promised myself I wasn’t going to but added 102k today.

Just got the RSP prices and it's comfortably better bid for choice. The MMs are bidding up for 1.5 million with only 600k cheaper offered. A limited amount of buying would get this going again....

Only around 0.5% of the company traded so far today so imagine how the price will move if the herd turn up here. It could be dramatic....

I remember we were in Gladstone together; now that was a ridiculously undervalued bombed out stock but it got taken over for a song in the end

The more liquidity in the share so that traders/investors can buy and sell in half decent quantities is both needed and positive.

The statement re dev law should make it clear why it's significant.

I guess many are happy to take a decent profit, as it was trading at under .0095 for some time even a week ago. So a 20%+ sure profit is not to be sniffed at for a part holding I suspect.

Yes the positivity is encouraging. More incentive as Atlantic says for Directors to exercise options (and not sell them! ;) ).I guess we're very much in CE's hands and the update is his big chance to finally get it right

Guess we'll have a few traders. It's actually good sign IMO. Still don't think the market has as yet understood the significance of the Dev Law. That should change once they put out a statement about the implications. Should be out Wed latest

Yes, I meant £585k proceeds from exercising warrants should cover normal expenses for a year; obviously the loan will either be repaid from part of the proceeds of a transaction, or will be extended again. But I think we can be reasonably confident that some sort of deal should occur in Q1 next year.
