01/12/2021 22:51 | It looks like clocktower, bless him, is desperate for another quick trade, which I think he defines as long-term if it extends over an hour or so. I think he is sufficiently deluded to believe he has influence over existing holders investment decisions when the reality is that MIN has taught holders more about patience than a six month Buddhist retreat. Holders are battle hardened and, finally, have the prospect of looking forward to that elusive significant upside. There have been a thousand reasons to sell in the past but those who have held obstinately and, in many cases, averaged down, are hardly likely to relinquish their holdings just when it looks like MIN are on the cusp of delivering. Anyway, a big thanks to all the excellent researchers on here especially waterloo and will. We know from past announcements that several parties have expressed interest. So now we await to see if they will engage in serious negotiations now that all the numerous incentives are enshrined in law. CE did mention in an rns some months ago that he anticipated communicating with shareholders on a regular basis. Obviously things have taken longer, but I suspect that statement has, at long last, become applicable. | nick2412
01/12/2021 21:29 | Good one, Atlantic - ya old timer. Good luck. | gerhart
01/12/2021 18:42 | Plenty of reasons indeed: Top investor: Greece proves it wants to overcome what held its economy back Greece's economic perspective and the changes that will ensure strong growth in the coming years were outlined by Nikos Stathopoulos, one of the most significant Greek investors living and operating in the United Kingdom. According to Stathopoulos, the political stability, the vision, and the pro-growth policies of the current government have allowed for a spectacular rebound this year. | wi1l
01/12/2021 18:11 | Worry taking a profit, I don't think so. Nobody ever wants dilution but it is as good as inevitable when investing in the stock market, Aim especially and inevitable with Minoan. What is more important is that the uplift in value of the investment is greater than any dilution. Minoan has the potential to far outstrip any dilution in my opinion from this low value of £6m. We know CE has to find the deals to achieve that, can he, on past experience one might say no. But I believe like Waterloo with the new dev law now passed his hand is strengthened. So will I be worrying about taking a profit in the coming days, no as I believe with the help of the new law CE could easily be taking Minoan, closer to £40m, £50m, £60m......maybe more £70m ? So take some further dilution into account we could be looking at a share price at a minimum of 5 times the present SP, possibly more. Plenty of reason to be more upbeat now. | boliviana
01/12/2021 17:46 | Well I added some today. It's now over 10% of my PF, which is lot of MIN. I've a lot invested here however in terms of time and energy, and while I have 'time' I'm engaged the way I am as I think there is significant value here. I thought that at 3p and at 1p that case is even stronger. I'm well aware of the past, but I'm much more interested in the future. Gilbert and co have ended up increasing their exposure here similarly. I'm looking forward to the further detail on the new law. | waterloo01
01/12/2021 17:37 | The worry for some will be at what point do they take profits before the likely issue of wads of paper at a discount to fill the coffers and maybe deal with loans? As soon as more positive news is released, will the share price leap, and at that point will there be news of a big discount on new shares? So fingers on the sell buttons I guess when the time comes? Good Trading CT | clocktower
01/12/2021 17:02 | The Dev law has been a double edged sword to date as it has slowed things down since it 1st become known about, but now it's in-place (or will be once published), they can now more actively pursue partnerships. The terms will be a great deal better as the environment and returns have just improved. I'm not saying a deal will be done tomorrow but a deal/s will be done and the enactment of the dev law is a cornerstone in that process. The rewards are there to be reaped, significantly given the market cap of £6m. IMO | waterloo01
01/12/2021 16:15 | What I took from that was that CE is at long last making some progress in getting the ball rolling. With so many false dawns, delays lack of progress, deals he was going to be cautious with anything he wrote. | boliviana
01/12/2021 16:12 | I noticed Rafboy highlighted a very good point in his post 18218. "The Company will now be taking further steps to progress its Project in Crete and looks forward to providing a more detailed update following the formal publication of the new law, expected in the next few days” The Chairman’s statement from the RNS. Clearly things are moving forward. | boliviana
01/12/2021 16:10 | Looks to me like we are on our way at last. | boliviana
01/12/2021 15:53 | Pj virtually all bulletin boards now are just : to quote jimi Hendrix I used to live in room full of mirrors and all I could see was me . Most posters just want you to post and agree with them any opposing views are generally not wanted. From the latest announcements today it looks like minoan are at the stage they thought they would be a year or two ago.As the loan extension has now been settled, early in the new year I would expect ce for the first time to open up genuine commercial negotiations. How long will this process take that remains to be seen. The market will NOT rerate min until they either announce a deal or perhaps Gilbert joining the board. | atlantic57
01/12/2021 15:52 | Well, the Count there are five of the seven on the bid at 0.90p so if thats anything to go by I think you may well be on the right lines there. However just when we want to see if that IS the case, the buying dries up....... | wi1l
01/12/2021 15:52 | clocktower, agree not cheap and I think Martin Gilbert and co have got a very good deal, but the stock is highly unlikely to be sold. It's a small amount compared to the current holdings of the group and it's good to still have the likes of Gilbert still engaged as now a larger shareholder in addition to the loan. They have warrants as well from the original loan, exercisable at 1.4p I recall. I'm sure they will need to feed the meter at some point, but I do think the dev law makes a real difference and will really help in closing commercial deals, the value of which really isn't reflected in the market cap under £6m! | waterloo01
01/12/2021 15:38 | 15,000,000 shares at 1p is a lot of shares to kick the bucket down the road till April 2022. Keep talking and try to get the share price up I guess as money is needed. Might not be limited stock for long if the bid reaches 1p | clocktower
01/12/2021 15:18 | Hi Waterloo - another of the old guard! We all should be getting Christmas cards from MIN - just for still being here!! :) Yeah I remember, you did disagree, but maybe one of the more optimistic. And no harm in that! So I hope you are right about the speed things could change this time. Good luck. | gerhart
01/12/2021 14:59 | Not always a echo chamber. PJ posts on occasion, just to keep us 'real'. I'd also disagree, as you would imagine, that not much has changed. I think the mood music has, both in Greece and within MIN, and the Dev law gives all sorts of benefits aimed at major strategic projects like MIN's. I know he's been awaiting this for sometime, and with good reason. It should help unlock commercial deals. It will be done and dusted before the loan comes up again. | waterloo01
01/12/2021 14:31 | Thanks PJ. Hope you're well and looking forward to pay day - some day!! I know it's crazy. Just let people give their view. Even if you are certain you are right, it's always better to allow space for other views. Maybe if I had allowed a bit more space for negative thoughts a good few years ago, I wouldn't be sitting on the losses I am. Here's hoping! | gerhart
01/12/2021 14:18 | gerhart I have had a couple of messages recently that the other thread has even the slightest negative post moderated unless its a blue poster that cannot be moderated. Its basically now an echo chamber. I hope the posters there realise that. | pj 1
01/12/2021 14:13 | looks like the loon is still around... | gerhart
01/12/2021 13:57 | --->ALL Can currently sell 1m shares at 0.981p which is 0.081 above the current touch price of 0.9p. Electronically, no shares being offered at or near the touch of 1.05p, which is already a hefty MM spread. Looks as if there is little stock available at the moment. TC! | the count
01/12/2021 13:14 | "The Company will now be taking further steps to progress its Project in Crete and looks forward to providing a more detailed update following the formal publication of the new law, expected in the next few days” The Chairman’s statement from the RNS. Clearly things are moving forward. | rafboy
01/12/2021 13:11 | Given the members of dagg are already large holders (only Day notifiable as yet) the shares will be in sticky hands. Still think it leaves main holders with an ave around 5p. Behind us now until End April. I think we'll be in a very different situation long before it's back on the agenda Once they highlight some of the benefits in the bill, I think it will become a lot clearer why the bill will make a big difference | waterloo01
01/12/2021 13:08 | Big word of thanks to waterloo for all his background work recently on updating the bb with progress. Mind you, having seen his work on SNG I would expect nothing less! | langland
01/12/2021 12:58 | Mr 500k was quick off the mark, within 1 minute of the RNS, 👏. DC | daicaprice |
