Meanwhile, what are the odds on India drawing the Boxing Day test match and should I buy MRO?

Normal.
Yes, when there is some news, or corporate activity.

Otherwise we just have some posters bragging and we discuss cricket, roast beef dinners, dogs, fine wines, sheep etc.

As someone looking at this board for the first time - and having gone back as far as Dec 17th - can someone tell me if the currrent discussions are an aberration or normal ? In other words, is Melrose ever discussed ?

A very clever anagram of Agnaav Abab.

Trump already has this mysterious Illness "Dunning Kruger Chimp Syndrome.
The Fed has already committed Europe to a down turn.
Tsunami will happen as is happening.

FT comment (ref The Queen):

Rationality

If we believe in the notion of the democracy should we really still have blood-entitlement leading to such privilege?

I'm sure it's rather easy to make generic bold good-will statements when 100% of her time is spent basquing in absolute utter privilege. A monarchy is simply no longer required. I hope a wind-down plan is prepared within the next decade that gives ample time - say 20 years - for them to integrate into society.

The more bad things happen, such as the past couple of years, the clearer it is the UK isn't really the amazing democratic country it purports to be.

Great Queen's Speech by Her Majesty.

God Save The Queen.

Let’s face it, the FT is a left wing rag politically on a par with the Mirror.

And on, I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive
And on, I can fly, I can fly, I can fly
And on, I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive
And I'm loving every second
Minute, hour, bigger, better, stronger, power

I got that power
I got that power
I got that power, power power power

B+ - "I would love to have dinner with Casey"

And I'm sure he would love to have dinner with you, he's a gentle giant, have never heard him growl, he does tend to throw his food around a bit 'tho haha.

On the subject of 'celebraties' a few posts back. I decided a few years ago to ban the use of the word in this house. So far as I am concerned they are NOT celebraties they are 'front of camera workers' and in my book the admiration goes to the 'back of camera workers' who never get mentioned and who mostly have at least some technical skill and generally earn what might be called a 'normal' type salary.

However, 'tis the season of goodwill, so to all of you out there A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR.

I'm afraid your only hope is to appeal to the European Court of Justice (better do it in the next 94 days though!). Happy Xmas to you too, have a great time!

Hi Getting, Happy Christmas

Is it possible for me to change prizes. I would love to have dinner with Casey, and if possible Mr and Mrs Losos, kind people that they are?

I can reveal the results of the Xmas Guess the Share Price Competition....the winner with an entry of 186p is....Brexitplus!!

I've read the original competition rules again and contrary to previous discussions he wins a signed photo of Meanwhile's rather shrunken wallet.

The loser, with an entry of 220p, is....Casey the Dog! I'm afraid Casey has to have breakfast with Minerve at Bills. Given Bills has strict hygiene rules though, I'm afraid Minerve will have to have a proper shower before being allowed in! Casey is already clean enough! Only joking Minny!
Happy Xmas All and remember, 2019 will be a great year, only 95 days until Independence Day!

Sunday 23 rd Advent 4, yes we do worship some things that are very material.

I am always mindful of Kipling ,quote

Beware of the two great impostors... Success and failure.

I donate but why is it always "Children in Leeds" that we donate too.

Having a "Papillion Leg Of Lamb" for dinner with rosemary and garlic, new pots and cauliflower cheese with steamed leek with ginger. The wine a very fine Ugandan Merlot.

I think the worst offenders could be Michael Sheen, Bono, Gary Lineker and Lily Allen.
