Your alpha wolf thing strikes me as a good description of D Trump.

With respect, your "Voltaire" quote is a double misattribution - firstly, Voltaire did not say that - it was his biographer EB Hall writing as SG Tallentyre who coined the phrase. Secondly it was not used to epitomise democracy , but rather freedom of speech (and thought). If you think about it, it really has nothing to do with democracy and everything to do with freedom of speech.

Minerve,

"Do you believe that a majority want a Hard-Brexit?".

No, I don't believe this, but I think they wanted to take back full control of our immigration policy, our economy, our trading relationships & our fishing waters.
And I don't think they were against some payment to meet our commitments. Many leavers were hoping we could do that by agreement with the EU, to mutual benefit, but keeping many other aspects of the relationship.
They saw that as being 'soft'.

Maybe with a better UK team, made up of all parties, we could have achieved it.

MEANWHILE

Do you believe that a majority want a Hard-Brexit? I don't believe they do. I believe most Leavers' concerns are addressed in a Soft-Brexit deal. People need to go back to why they voted Leave in the first place. I'm concerned that the moderate Brexiters haven't been heard or are not loud enough. Hard-Brexiters have promoted the idea that the Leave mandate was always Hard which was never the case and they act like they have the mandate from all Brexiters which simply isn't true - especially in parliament.

As a Remainer I would like to see the deal voted through. Peace will only be achieved via compromise and we all risk losing out fully if we continue this way. I hope whatever happens your family are not negatively affected because you are a genuinely decent person from what I read. :)

As Voltaire once said

‘I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,’

I believe that is democracy.

I'm sure you be interested in pages 134-5 of "The Chimp Paradox."

Mrs Meanwhile, the trickcyclist, will be aware of the following personality mindset.

1 The world is a place that belongs to them and others are in THEIR world.

2 They give people a value on how they can use them to fulfil their own ambitions.

3 They dominate by believing that getting the best out of a situation means showing zero tolerance to people.

4 Compassion is seen as a weakness.

5 Others' opinions are irrelevant in most cases, as they believe their opinion is right.

6 Ignoring someone who is seen as being of little value is the best way of dealing with them.

7 Any challenges are met with hostility and aggression.

8 Any admissions to errors, or being wrong, are merely given lip service and quickly dismissed.

REMIND YOU OF ANYONE POSTING HERE?!!! I BELIEVE WE HAVE SEEN ALL OF THESE BEHAVIOURS HERE FROM A CERTAIN PERSON.

This is called an Alpha Wolf mindset.

Prof Peters goes on

"The Alpha Wolf has varying degrees of being a dictator or a control freak and genuinely believes that this is the best way forward as they are best at decision making and doing things. The people along the way are seen as weak. Popularity is never an issue as their success and ego are paramount.

This mindset is often found in business and those with it can be quite up in organisations, where they "chew-up" the pack, using aggression to prove and use their position.

The Alpha Wolf's power is respected and feared but the ALPHA WOLF ITSELF IS NOT RESPECTED.”

Hard Brexit isn't democratic because it is ONLY a minority of nutters that want it.

Scared of destroying the democratic rule, and extinguishing the last bit of trust the people have in the system. You are not bright enough to see it obviously.

Much more is known versus the lies and a Leave campaign which was subsequently found out to be corrupt. What are you scared of little man?

What a stupid illogical argument. So if there was a second referendum and Remain won this time, would you then be advocating a third referendum in the name of democracy too?

Have you looked at pages 134-5 of The Chimp Paradox? You really should.

Apple was like your fan-boy stock Burford.

Brexit does affect Europe. Much of Europe happens to be in the EU, or didn't you realise that?

Two sides to Brexit chimpy. Two sides.

Has Brexit caused Apple to be off 30%? Has Brexit caused a US-China trade war? For someone that calls everyone else 'thickos' you really should look in the mirror first. Check out the FTSE against the Hang Seng and the Dax too you chimp!!
