I only have small, toe in the water, holdings in Plus with HL. But yes, volatility is good.

B+, all this volatility has got to be good for Plus500? Moving closer to £15 again but it could really jump with another trading update as some are predicting before Xmas? By the way, I got confirmation that I'll be getting the Israeli tax refund, which you may be interested in going for in future if you up your stake. I had no choice really because I went in fairly heavily but it has been a LOT of hassle.

I agree with you, a great opportunity.

And personally, I'm very proud to be fighting the dictatorship of the EU.

That £39bn that the idiots keep on referring to isn't handed down from God.

Well, I'm off Christmas shopping. F%ck Brexit and politics - I've got a life to get on with rather the follow this sorry circus ad infinitum. My stocks chosen will ride the storm regardless of the next chimp that sits in front of the cage.

Brexit voters should all hang their heads in shame. Two years wasted already. Europe and the UK have more important things to focus on than trying to appease the inferiority complex of 17.2 million losers IMO.

BoJo now favourite to be next PM, just overtaken Jezza. Treat Brexit as an opportunity not a problem, retain the £39 billion until trade deal signed, release the shackles with the EU.

I agree about the old Soviet Union. We built plants in Poland, Yugoslavia, Rumania and Russia. The people, when we got them on their own, hated the central control of the Soviet Union and their “governments”over their lives.

Even Polish party members arranged for their children to be married outside their villages so that they could have a Catholic wedding!!! That was for fear of reprisals.

B+, we've got one of the new Ivy restaurants where we live. Not been in but it's packed most days and looks similar-ish in style to the main bar area at the original in London which I've eaten in many times. Contrary to what most people expect the original is not particularly expensive (<£100 per head certainly) which is not the case at hundreds of inferior restaurants in London. Had a steak meal at Tredwells last month and it cost a lot more. Same with Heddon St.

B+ - "This will be my only post here on Brexit"

I think you are very wise to keep it to one post. The whole business has become mired in political shenanagins and obvious double dealing and I am about sick of it now.

There's little point in my writing even one post on the subject since it could be decades before the real implications become known and chances are I won't be around then, so why worry about it haha.

I like the idea of you & Mrs. B+ having your annual Christmas 'do' together. Will there be entertainment? You reminded me of when our firm held a Christmas do in London with Les Dawson on stage, 500 plus, all the managenment bagged the front seats and us lowly young workers were at the back. Was a good evening 'tho and I still can't remember where I spent the night haha. Companies dare not organise such 'do's' in these PC times which I find so sad.

To every one else (I mean all those not filtered haha) may I send my very best Christmas greetings and hope you have a prosperous and healthy New Year.

I think that rotten virus thingy has not completely departed so while I will still look in I may not post very often until I'm firing on all cylinders again. Enjoy yourselves :-)

And Casey the dog sends his best to Rover also woof woof :-)

:-) It has been suggested that a pallet would fit nicely onto my palate.

What the inference is escapes me.

Thanks for reminding me. :-(

10 pallets sawn and neatly stacked in the woodshed.

Now treating my palate to a nice cup of tea.

What do you think of the dog referendum?

Yes, but only in Snoredonia.

Oh, they do that already. No need for a referendum then!!!

I appear, on current form, likely to win the Christmas share price competition. If I do I decline the offer of any sort of “meal” at Bill’s. I would be delighted for the second placed person to take my place.

This will be my only post here on Brexit.

My board name says everything I feel about the EU. And I do not intend to enter into any discussion about my position.

My own opinion about the current vote, and it’s delay, is GOOD. I would be happy if it is on 31st March. On 1st April we will have left the EU.

Delay will give the EU member states more time to think about the consequences of a No Vote. They love brinkmanship in the EU, but now it is our turn to play hardball if May has the guts.

And for those wanting another referendum, I understand it takes 24 weeks to organise one. It is really already too late, and the later the better as far as I am concerned since we will already be out of the EU.

Rover, the dog, here.

The name's Bond, Brexit Bond. Brilliant.

Mrs May's treasonous plot with Juncker seems to be going off course, leading to an emergency meeting today of the '5 families'. All this helps the cause by turning more simple, honest folks against this Mafia organisation.

All this talk about champagne and other stuff. Bloody rubbish. I prefer beef gravy myself.

Piper-Heidsieck suits my palate.

However jackdaw, I also had some “pallets”; delivered yesterday for firewood!!! Not from Uganda or Korea.

Also, does anyone here have any experience of the new chain of The Ivy brasseries. Mrs B+ and I, both being self employed, have a joint Christmas “works lunch” every year. Last year it was at a Cote Brasserie in Cirencester on a snowy day. This year we thought we might try The Ivy in Cheltenham.

I did once dine at original Ivy in London back in the 1970s. Interesting evening among the great, and not so good.

Champagne is SO yesterday. Prosecco much nicer. I guess Brexit is a Moët & Chandon lover, or Bollinger. The name is Brexit Bond. LOL The best champagne I had was Cristal. I have had it many times on cruises. - Brexit can't afford that, not regularly. Prosecco just as nice, but cheaper, and more up with the times. Even Cava is nicer, generally.

We go for that, good value at 25% off. They sell a particularly good Ugandan Chardonnay that suits my pallet, but beware of cheap Korean imitations. :- )
