10/12/2018 21:30 | Grrrrrr. Woof. Rover, the dog, here. | meanwhile
10/12/2018 20:47 | Oh dear, 3 amigos left impotent. Still, it doesn't matter, they've got enough fat to last them the winter. Accountancy jiggery-pokery and all that jazz. ;) | minerve
10/12/2018 14:00 | Well done May - you've just opened the door and allowed the Remoaners back in as per your 'cunning' plan. Sturgeon and Corbyn, the new improved version of the Crankys, neither of whom understand the meaning of the word Democracy, seemingly forming an alliance to take back power. The country is a shambles, a laughing stock and led by idiots. Comes to something when the only real party left worthwhile voting for is the.........apologie | yertiz
09/12/2018 17:48 | MW Thank you for spotting the deliberate mistake. Keeps you on your toes. Posted on my way to Bristol for a delicious roast pork lunch. Champagne on 25% discount on six bottles in Sainsbury. Six bottles duly purchased. Lovely. | brexitplus
09/12/2018 15:44 | Internet banking a wonderfull thing in some ways but today was different. My wife's account was debited with £1.00 that was not spotted . Bingo, her account was cleared out, she became aware when the bank informed her she was using her overdraft facilities.Monies gone to Africa and States , Bank very defensive ATMIT. | jackdaw4243
09/12/2018 12:04 | Rover, if you are going to pick up humans on their grammar, you should make sure you get your grammar right too! You should have hyphenated 'non-abbreviated' for a start! In addition, you have included a superfluous space before your colon. Poor. Woof woof! | gettingrichslow
09/12/2018 11:13 | Rover, the dog, here. Grammar on this site from human posters is generally poor. "We’re you at Sandy Park yesterday." Translated, in non abbreviated form : "We are you at Sandy Park yesterday." "We are you". What does this mean? Poor. | meanwhile
09/12/2018 10:04 | Hi Yertiz Were you at Sandy Park yesterday. Ollie Thorley the difference I think. Gloucester have quite a good record at Exeter. | brexitplus
07/12/2018 18:20 | From a friend of mine to cheer me up for the weekend knowing i'd just added a few MRO this morning "The market has but one objective: to inflict the maximum amount of pain on the maximum number of participants." My reply was "FROAD" in jest of course as we are coming up to the second Sunday in Advent. | jackdaw4243
07/12/2018 16:58 | Getting I read that £264 million was the maximum Kier could raise and a further fund raising might be necessary. Still it looks good in the annual report!!! Finished at 382/385p. | brexitplus
07/12/2018 16:22 | It is sad. But I doubt many proper investors would have fallen for that emergency rights issue nonsense. Obvious scam even to a complete novice. Smacked of desperation as B+ and I stated on the day. If anyone bought into that then I've got some snake oil for sale too - £15,000 and it's yours with free delivery. | gettingrichslow
07/12/2018 15:49 | Yertiz I think we should say that the active ingredient is a “100% effective filter”. Sad to see Kier still going down on a good FTSE250 day. I read that Kier may be dropping out of the FTSE250 and into the Small Companies index. | brexitplus
07/12/2018 14:56 | Is there much call for it? Don't want to bring attention to ourselves, that's counter-productive! TROLLICIDE TM. Warning: Contents can cause blistering attacks, caustic comments and acid remarks. COSHH and Data Safety Sheets available on request. Not to be used in confined spaces, if affected do not operate keyboards. Yes, could work! | yertiz

07/12/2018 12:26 | Safe and sound at home again, let the waters roar, Jack. Safe and sound at home again, let the waters roar, Jack. Chorus Long we've tossed on the rolling main, now we're safe ashore, Jack. Don't forget yer old shipmate, faldee raldee raldee raldee rye-eye-doe! Since we sailed from Plymouth Sound, four years gone, or nigh, Jack. Was there ever chummies, now, such as you and I, Jack? Long we've tossed on the rolling main, now we're safe ashore, Jack. Don't forget yer old shipmate, faldee raldee raldee raldee rye-eye-doe! We have worked the self-same gun, quarterdeck division. Sponger I and loader you, through the whole commission. 07/12/2018 12:09 | This is the future of a Brexit UK! Taking on the world they say. Can't even find £25M for a high-profile project like this that would encourage thousands into the engineering industry and be a real boost. Where are the billionaires when you need them? Oh sorry, they are not interested. The ego boost isn't there because of the 'not invented here' syndrome. If I was a billionaire the £25M on this is a no-brainer. Pathetic the UK, really is. The morons are completely disconnected with the sad reality. | minerve
07/12/2018 11:25 | B+, the only efficient Trollicide method is to starve it of attention! They really hate it when there is no response to their vitriol. GRS - didn't you take your fluorescent jacket with you to become a 'Gilet Jaune'? Macron is heading for a massive fall very soon. His policies are unraveling, he and his inner circle have been 'found out' and the French are not very forgiving of those who undermine 'Le Republic', as he is. Interesting bit on R4 this morning about Macron's rise to power with elite schooling, civil service experience and thence to politics. All very Marie Antoinette-ish! The French on the street hate it, smacks of Imperialism. His head will be on a pole 'looking' over the Seine with lifeless eyes. Europe (EU)is in all sorts of bother, Merkel with her migrants policy, Italy with their budget snub to the EU, Hungary and its closed borders, Spain's unemployment, Greece's debt not ending any time soon. Its a complete mess and the peasants are certainly revolting. DS Smith has a large operations warehouse and distribution centre not too far from my home - I know quite a few of the senior people there, two of the managers have been retired early with redundancy packages which were not great deals, tbh. They have said things are not all that rosy, but have had to sign non-disclosures to even get part of their packages paid. | yertiz
07/12/2018 11:08 | Grrrrrrrr, Rover, the dog, here. I've got this Christmas present, a little song, for Casey, Losos's dog. Daddy wouldn't buy me a bow-wow! bow wow! Daddy wouldn't buy me a bow-wow! bow wow! I've got a little cat, And I'm very fond of that, But I'd rather have a bow-wow Wow, wow, wow, wow | meanwhile
07/12/2018 10:28 | B+, back from Paris, interesting place to be at the moment with the protests and so on. It is definitely not an isolated thing, the general mood is one of anger towards the government and the EU. Met a lot of european business people who commented that they think the UK could be getting the timing just right on exiting which is always interesting to hear from people on 'the other side'. Day off today after my exertions across the water. Just bought £20k of SMDS which I think is incredibly undervalued especially given their results yesterday and their growing relationship with Amazon, Primark and Tesco. We shall see. | gettingrichslow
07/12/2018 10:06 | Hi Yertiz, please confirm that the best way to kill a troll is to starve it of oxygen!!! I see Syncona more as a private equity company with a “conscience. No nothing complimentary. It’s all part of his lack of self-esteem. Anyway, Christmas decorations up, just about to start cooking venison casserole for the family tomorrow, and the sun has just emerged!!!! | brexitplus
07/12/2018 09:40 | May not have caught the bottom exactly, but another little dabble (5k shares, average 155.6p) yesterday. A small rise this morning, always nice to see. I see the FIAL has been busy on here - nothing complimentary I trust? Filtered and ignored the low-life. Peece on him - haha, absolutely jackdaw! Conversely, MW has been very quiet - nursing his losses? Syncona still holding their own, but as they are a fund, I'm not investing. | yertiz
07/12/2018 08:38 | ITS GREAT FOR GKN TO BE WORKING WITH UNIVERSITIES IN THIS WAY. My Industrial Year was at Lucas Group Research Centre near Solihull which was a fascinating experience. “The University of Sheffield has been revealed as a partner on GKN Aerospace's new £32m Global Technology Centre (GTC), which aims to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies in aerospace manufacturing. The new centre, which is expected to open in 2020 in Bristol, will host 300 highly skilled engineers, and will include collaborative space for research and development. It will be funded by a £17m commitment from GKN Aerospace and a £15m commitment from the UK government, through the Aerospace Technology Institute. GKN will work with academics from the University of Sheffield's Faculty of Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with a focus on additive manufacturing (AM), advanced composites, assembly and industry 4.0 processes to enable the high rate production of aircraft structures. The university will also be involved in collaborative research projects, co-location of staff and students from the faculty and the AMRC to the GTC, and PhD opportunities to develop the talent pipeline into the aerospace industry. Professor Mike Hounslow, vice-president and head of the faculty of engineering, said: "A key strength at the University of Sheffield is our capability to work across all technology readiness levels. "The fundamental and experimental research undertaken in the faculty, combined with the application-driven research at the AMRC is highly effective. This is an attractive proposition for companies such as GKN, as quality, end-to-end research is available from an established and integrated network of experts and facilities." | brexitplus
