Absolutely, this isn't rocket science. Just good planning. The politicians make it look as if it is a difficult issue.

It only is a difficult issue when your objectives are short-termist and directed towards filling the pockets of your mates! ;)

T - there is a question as to the level (if any) of strategic supplies that a country like the UK needs. This question comes up regularly in Switzerland. One answer for ppe that has been used is to have the machinery to produce domestically if necessary rather than stocks which have a sell by date. It is the same issue for key medicines.

It's like the people who come back from a trip to Canada and say, they have no trouble with 6 foot of snow, we should take the same precautions - overlooking the fact that the colossal investment needed for something that happens every year isn't necessarily justified for something that only happens every 15 years or so.

You wouldn't have to spend billions. All you need is contracts and supply chains ready in case a pandemic arises. You wouldn't have to go out and give multi-million pound contracts to your mates because they happen to know someone in China, who knows a man, who knows others, who knows others, who might be able to supply you 3rd rate gear.

No excuses! The c*nts are making it look like some victory.

Tories have been in power for a decade and should have known the likelihood of this happening were increasing year by year.

It will be the same issue with the rotting nuclear submarines that need decommissioning.

The Tories are professionals at fire-fighting. ;)

Can't believe that Piers Morgan genuinely thinks it would be a good idea to spend 100's of billions every year on updating our ppe inventory on the 100 year chance of a pandemic to save a few million when it actually comes. After all, old stock would never do either, would it! So update and renew every five years. Build warehouses to store it, staff to guard it, care for it and be ready to distribute it. What a Hindsight plonker that man is!

Remainer/ ppe brigade at Sky TV really caught with their pants down for the 60th birthday bash. Burley is blaming it on having a pee. I hope they suffer after their constant righteous pontificating all year.

What does that mean? We have had £200 of free shares each year for the past 4 years. Hardly market moving stuff. And they are not tax free yet, another year to go

The point UT, assuming that you can read, is that it is 'do as I say, not what I do'.
You among many are following blindly. Don't rush into a wall.

I do wish you would get to point Alphorn because unless Radciffe has said I'm a raging Brexiteer and anyone who buys a factory near to Gernany should be fkin shot by Helen Mirren I cant see theres a point to be made. What Is the point? Are you saying that just because Radcliffe supports the principles of brexit he ahouldnt have a business interest in Europe? What's this business about walls? Do you mean lampposts? Do you know what day it is?

Weak pound has its benefits! It really is a two edged sword!Just imagine we get a deal. The pound goes up 20% We avoid 10% tarriffs. German cars become 30% cheaper than the no deal scenario. That does not help uk car manufactuers! A no deal means pound remains weak, we also slap on a 10% tarriff. Gives our manufacturers a fighting chance. Yes we import some parts but majority of cost of uk car manufacture comes from wages, taxes, land costs, sales costs, money costs, marketing and assembly.

"Ahem, take a look at the way house prices are going.
Hardly people rushing for the exits??"

Forget what the numpty public are wanting to do. Watch the banks and their willingness to loan.

Those 50,000 additional jobs in customs might aswell be seen as just an increase in tax/benefits.

What is there to be excited about in that?

Johnson is a numpty. He really believes what he says. He has got so used to lying and living fantasy he says these things without a second's worth of reflection.

Remember his home hobbies? What was it? Building something out of crates was it? I can't remember because it was so ridiculous.

"UtyINV, this "Wealth Tax Commission" is an unelected, unofficial left wing pressure group. Why is the BBC giving it publicity?"

Let me help you.

Because the BBC is an unofficial left wing pressure group as well!!!
Despite being obliged to offer an objective news service in its terms of operation.
