"UtyINV, this "Wealth Tax Commission" is an unelected, unofficial left wing pressure group. Why is the BBC giving it publicity?"

Let me help you.

Because the BBC is an unofficial left wing pressure group as well!!!
Despite being obliged to offer an objective news service in its terms of operation.

It was how the industrial revolution was built.
It was how the British Empire was built.

ff - if that happened there would be pain for a very long time. There is neither the money nor inclination to build costly domestic production facilities. How often when a domestic company is on the block does another UK company come in to out bid the foreign company? Rare to be almost non existent. It is not in the domestic psyche. Take two 'in progress' Tesco and Aviva who are drawing in their horns to follow the Lloyds domestic model.

Alphorn.

We are long overdue reboot imho.

No deal involves total restructuring of our economy. A lot of sacred cows would go.

ff - you make an error there IMO.

No Deal from a UK perspective has never been an option - it would have been triggered years ago otherwise. What do you not grasp?
