02/4/2019 10:33 | Thanks, Willoic, I was aware of what you posted. | poikka
02/4/2019 10:32 | read the comments on Brexit in the Guardian , people foaming at the mouth using intemperate language and making shocking comments about those whom voted leave. read the comments page in the mail and the same applies about the language and comments made about those that want to remain/ say the vote was too close to allow Brexit. This sums up the extremes on both sides , the majority of people IMO hold views to the middle of those two extremes. That seems to be reflected in parliament with the 'hard Brexiters' and the "Revoke article 50' at the extremes and the rest somewhere in-between. Nobody seems to be moving their positions in any significant way... It seems to me that the extremes on both sides are the issue, hard brexit and revoke article 50, are the problem parliament have made this issue not the voters, Parliament voted 10-1 for a referendum, both major parties campaigned on the premise that they would implement the result of the referendum and probably most damaging of all they voted in favour invoking article 50.... it doesn't matter if we voted leave or remain ,we were given the vote by parliament and they need to sort it out, | hernando2
02/4/2019 10:27 | No deal = Brexit. Everything else is remain. Simple. | cheshire pete
02/4/2019 10:27 | bbalanjones,'re490, Appreciate your response. Interesting to note that at the time a certain canine loving high flying liberal, very dodgy name Jeremy!!Lol, was making a name for himself as a candidate at nearby Brigg, until it all imploded. We lived in Messingham which being down wind of the steelworks emitted large brown clouds which would cover your car in little brown rust spots, very corrosive stuff. Happy days though. | cm44
02/4/2019 10:25 | Poikka the majority of Tory MPs are Remainers. May voted Remain. The Tory Remainer majority MPs voted may to be PM. May colluded with the EU to bring forward an abject surrender document called a Withdrawal Treaty which keeps the Uk in the EU for years to come/indefinitely. Particularly with regard to ECJ jurisdiction over EU citiziens allowed to remain in the UK and to bring their families to the UK for as long as they live. That is why the Surrender Treaty has a closing date of 20XX ie up to 2099. | willoicc
02/4/2019 10:23 | Yes folks, when I mentioned "deranged" I was absolutely serious - I was not being flippant. | poikka
02/4/2019 10:20 | None of the options yesterday were helpful. Here's how I see it, additions/correction 1. Leave without a deal as per Referendum. Everyone would like a deal, but not one that restricts our ability to determine our own future. So we can forget about leaving with a deal, because Brussels won't negotiate a deal that would give us that freedom. 2. Vote for May's WA. That ties us to the EU for years to come. It's better than Remaining, just, but the DUP, quite rightly, won't wear it. 3. Remain and fight the EU elections with predictable wins for prospective Brexiteer MEPs. How we'll ever achieve one of those results is beyond my comprehension right now. | poikka
02/4/2019 10:13 | Deranged for sure. | minerve 2

02/4/2019 09:56 | Maybe the Little Englanders are a quirky, strange bunch too! Ever thought of that? | minerve 2
02/4/2019 09:55 | Fair enough, grahamite2. Thank you. | keyno
02/4/2019 09:55 | We have had peace since 1945 because Germany was stripped of the capacity to wage war. Now Germany achieves economic domination through the EU and you only have to look at the Med. countries and the state of the British economy to see that. | willoicc
02/4/2019 09:52 | The EU member states are to blame, the Scottish, the Irish, the Welsh, it is NEVER the Little Englanders is it? ALWAYS on a good excuse and ALWAYS the fault of someone else - that is the Little Englanders for you! ;) | minerve 2 |
