03/4/2019 11:44 | WB I went out for a walk on Sunday to get my paper. I looked at, probably, at least 100 cars and only ONE was a Vauxhall Astra made in Liverpool, and TWO were Nissan Quahqais assembled in NE England. No Minis. No Jaguars. No Land Rovers. ( Admittedly it is a working class area) EVERY OTHER car was an import. We British are shooting ourselves in the foot by giving millions of well paid jobs to foreigners while the UK get deeper and deeper into debt year after year. I would ask everyone on here who voted LEAVE to reflect on the car they own. Where was it made. If it is an import, is it so much better than an equivalent car made in UK that you could not bring yourself to support UK. If you cannot buy British, why vote Leave?! | willoicc
03/4/2019 11:42 | Willoicc Have no intention of buying anything from EU countries anymore. I'm boycotting all their products or even go to EU countries for holidays. Total boycott!! Do not intend to replace my Merc with another will settle now for a Japanese model or Jag if I do replace it. | corpbull
03/4/2019 11:41 | Corbyn may wish to add a second referendum to a customs union with freedom of movement. I doubt that, although it is labour policy, he himself is not that keen. Sturgeon is meeting with May today, and a full customs union is what they want, apart from a general election. The UDP must be happier also. If Corbyn and the other group are sensible and compromise there is a great chance here. 90% of business will be happy, trade unions will be happy, Scotland, Ireland should be, as well as all remainers and soft Brexit types. If they deliver the goods, the Ken Clarke's vision of exiting the political EU. whilst still having the full trading advantages of the customs union will be the outcome. | careful

Pretty sure such wont make a iota of difference. Something more concrete is needed. Answers on a post card, to a P.O Box if you please. | wbecki
03/4/2019 11:33 | Actually, leaned on by the men in Remainer suits who did not want Conservative party members in the country to have any say. | willoicc

Forgot to mention this earlier - the Conservative Party does not have a remain majority, that's only the MPs." That's only the MPS - which is why Boris wouldnt have made the last two. Those Remoan MPs would have seen to that. "All Boris needed to do was stick it out and get to the final two" Which he wouldn't have...see above. "the membership would have given him a landslide victory" Spot on. I joined the Tory Party solely to vote for BJ Once the new leader is sorted I will return to UKIP :) Still open to debate on whether my £3 spent to elect Jezza was a good call or not. | wbecki
03/4/2019 11:29 | "Poikka 3 Apr '19 - 10:08 - 253762 of 253776 0 2 0 Not sure about Boris for PM, and nor are a lot of others. My favourite is Steve Baker - a free-marketer. My only concern about him is that he's a touch religious." No issue with him being religious as long as he isnt a Moslem. "Actually, I have more concerns - I've never heard him speak. Must check as I may one day get a vote, and the sooner the better." He's a pretty decent orator , intelligent and economically/sociall | wbecki
03/4/2019 11:28 | "CORPBULL 3 Apr '19 - 10:08 - 253761 of 253776 0 0 1 There should now be a BIGGEST RIOT and hope someone will organise it in the next few weeks." Nope, that is expected. Better bet to bide ones time, wait until an opportune moment once the establishement gets lazy and thinks everyone has moved on.. Softly softly catch the monkey. | wbecki
03/4/2019 11:27 | No mystery. Leaned on by the men in Remainer suits. | willoicc
03/4/2019 11:26 | "toon1966 3 Apr '19 - 09:51 - 253755 of 253776 0 0 0 The ERG had the opportunity to put one of their 'own' in as PM, they blew it. I have no sympathy for the ERG." ERG never had the numbers. All of these HOC votes evidence. Far better would have been allowing the Tory membership to choose the two candidates. | wbecki
03/4/2019 11:25 | "grahamite2 3 Apr '19 - 09:48 - 253754 of 253776 0 1 0 I'm with toon on this. Yes, Boris was stabbed in the back by Gove (one of the few human beings on the face of the earth more dishonest than the Prime Minister) - but if you're not tough enough to withstand a blow like that, it raises questions of your fitness for high office." So you agree he was shafted in the first instance..as I said. Gove and BJ would draw from the same vote pool so both of them running was a disaster. Hence he then bottled it. Latter wouldnt have occurred without the former I blame Gove for this Brexit shambles for it is because of him we got the choice of two useless overpormoted tarts in the run off - one who then folded, mysteriously. | wbecki

03/4/2019 11:22 | The problem is that Boris would not have been in the last 2 because the majority Tory remain MPs would have made sure he didn't. grahamite23 Apr '19 - 10:22 - 253766 of 253775 0 0 0 Forgot to mention this earlier - the Conservative Party does not have a remain majority, that's only the MPs. 03/4/2019 10:58 | We should do the right and proper thing. Leave and negotiate from without with a clean sheet. The UK is an important market to the €uropeans (very important) So lets start to play the game without having our hands tied behind our backs. | maxk
03/4/2019 10:54 | She's run out of ministers to run the country on day to day jobs.. she does not give a sh@t as long as to lock UK in Europe forever. She lost it altogether now. TM: "A bad deal is better than a good deal" She cares more about her Brexit than Britain. | k38

I’m grateful to the PM for the opportunity to serve as a Minister since 2017 & will continue to serve my constituents from the backbenches. unquote Adams | polar fox
03/4/2019 10:23 | Well yes, Graham, JRM is brilliant, but as long as SB would be approved by the Tories, then the public would soon get used to him. This clip says all there is to know about what sort of agreement we could have with the EU, and says all there is to know about May's agenda. Compulsive listening - right to nearly the end. In it, SB lists the 4 potential new PMs - McVey, JRM, Bojo and DRaab, I think... | poikka
