I dont believe so:

"Kier is at least less murky than Carillion in three ways. First, it is not reliant on a few huge low-margin construction contracts — it has about 500, and 90 per cent of them are for £10m or less. Second, it is profitable — it will still make £130m this year; Carillion made billion-pound losses. Third, its chief is yet to roll up his sleeves on a new strategy — he will give details on July 30." FT

Amazing how quickly a company can commit suicide. Kier was a brilliant company and investment under CEO. Paul Sheffield. He was removed by the chairman and replaced by Hayden. What a huge mistake that was.

Someone mentioned Amey yesterday. Just a piece on the sort of problem that could sink Kier

“Amey is close to striking a deal that could see it stump up £215m to walk away from its troubled Birmingham highways maintenance PFI contract.

Birmingham City Council chiefs are understood to have agreed a proposal with the highways maintenance contractor, which will be formally ratified next month.

It is understood that Amey could pay £130m in cash up front, with a further £85m in staged payments over five years.

Also Birmingham City Council would hold £85m of deductions and penalties imposed on Amey, which have been subject to legal disputes between the two.”

B+, terribly, it's another Minerve stock! More than halved since he invested. But no doubt it will be 0.0000000001% of his £32m portfolio!
ROFLMAO!

Some think it is a catastrophe for Minerve.

Kier occupies less than 2% of Minerve portfolio.

Let is just assume Kier is 2% of Minerve portfolio..

Portfolio shift today via Kier stock 2% x 41.1% = .822%.

Minerve operates risk management.

Really, the chimp cage is rattled over a few bananas. They should have tried investing in OFEX stock during the .com days. This is NOTHING.

Woodford May have no choice otherwise it will be a big drag on already very poor performance.

He also has a big holding of Autolus which is leading to a fall in the Syncona share price Not bad for me since it allows me to add.

sharetradergray 11th april 2019 share price 338.40:

Well said minerve, the fundamentals are looking attractive Kier is well placed long term to bounce back this share is a bargain in my eyes and a key part of my portfolio, I know Woodford gets a bad press but if hes buying more of Kier and choosing to sell other stocks then this must be a key signal he knows and believes long term this company has got the legs to climb back up! Fill ya boots time!

1) Don't follow so called internet keyboard warriors.

2) Fund managers don't know anymore than the rest of us, quite often less infact.

3) Don't fill boots when a share is falling and testing lows.

Porky, so are you seriously claiming to have a portfolio bigger than £32 million?
Or will you admit Kier was more than 2% of your portfolio? Come on, man up and tell us the truth!

he may have been dumping kier today to try and raise funds, making the falls worse. Might actually help kier if reduces his large holding and often he has to sell at the bottom...
