stan..I know we are in strange times, but the lack of any spark in the ITV share price is abnormal.

Just four months ago in far more uncertain times, Delta in overdrive, loads of grief, the share price rose steadily up to 134p and looked set to go further. What happened then, a shake out began and has been in force since.

You are an incredibly offensive character aren’t you?
Hopefully you are just verbally violent but it’s no wonder you have so many enemies.

Sorry you clearly don’t understand the Media, advertising and Broadcasting marketplace.
They are absolutely linked.
I spoke to an analyst friend today (covers media and telecoms) and he too was also rather astonished - no explanation.

I think you are now on your own with that controversial view.
Today watching it fail to respond to WPP Q3, 2021/2 outlook and UK numbers was frankly unbelievable.
Maybe not matching the rise but a fall?
That’s undoubtedly manipulation IMO.

Just out on the Business Matters website:- 'Advertisers are expected to spend almost £1bn more marketing their products this festive season than last year, marking the return of the annual big-budget Christmas marketing battle.

Low ball offer, if they added 50% it would be low ball and unlikely because it would be seen as hostile.

Are those numbers going to be special, I have reservations!

Will they announce a divi return?
Possibly say a 2.5p final divi. (Maybe too early to announce it)
Then next year maybe 5p overall, 1.5p interim and 3.5p final?
Then build back up to 8p for the year like 2019?

Nige, after reading further into WPP's numbers and also the statement from Google, Alphabet and YouTube over there in the US its not inconceivable that ITV could even be net debt free come next month, with advertising rebounding in a bigger way than the market was expecting and that's even after the Talpa payment. Very much doubt if our Dame can reach for the Covid or cautious caveats this time round !

Asset strippers must be looking at ITV at this crazy valuation, cash in the bank, debt cut by 33%. Advertising rebounding strong that could end up being a record year. Studio's booked up. What do they want jam on it? Even a low-ball bid may get some interest.

Not buying WPP yesterday was an expensive mistake!
Would have made up for my BT disaster.
Hoped ITV would do as before and move with WPP - but no.
Lets hope ITV perform inline with WPP very soon.

They should have shaken out just about every available share at 103p, what next?

WPP out with good report, but nothing helps this move.

If they do post a profit over half a billion for the end of the year then this is worth 150p+ a share easy, and gotta be attractive to rivals or private equity.
