loljimbull, i do enjoy your posts..however ivan borksy/aka 5eights has had adam crozier, liberty, bt, any adr purchase and countless others involved in the great british theft of itvwill he have the audacity to say he was right all along if someone tries to buy itv, almost certainlyat least a dozen ftse shares have performed like itv over the last 4 months

With O trades (off book pre-negotiated) they are also not necessary logged correctly as could had taken place earlier - buy/sell indicator is given when trade booked not transacted.
Large O trades are very often a collection of thousands of smaller trades made by hedge funds and then booked when convenient by their broker - again buy /sell indicator is erroneous.

If you have direct access to the book(DMA) via a broker you buy at the sell prices and sell at the buy prices.Hence buy / sell volume is meaningless.

bob.....I have read around 2 dozen posts today on different forums and everyone is remarking on the way the share price can't put on a few pence on the run up to the report in a fortnight even with the huge volume today, zilch.

Are the shares bought and sold in these 12 million today, all part of the market maker hand in hand with a 3rd party like GS. Is this skullduggery, seems 90% of us suckers believe it is because not one person can explain.

The closest answer is contained in Nigeco's manipulation link, but ITV is a FTSE100 company, surely not?

Heavy buys today, outnumber sells 6 to 1 and it's down. Hard not to agree that MM's are heavily involved in keeping the share price down.

Anyone explain why it's normal.

Its half-term school holidays this week so what better time to put through the market a trade of 2,830,000 ITV @ 105.20 (12:32). Its been reported twice (again?) so we may see a contra trade to one of them.

L2/3 being behaving properly both today and yesterday (from 10am ish)
Encouraging.
Nothing unusual so far in the order book although lots of near support on buy side.

I've bought a few back.
Its looking like Christmas will be busy.
And the new year will be full of adverts for foreign holidays

If this lot works I might buy more later. But lets see how it goes.

ITV
No idea what it means but 420,000+ (series of large orders) put into the ITV book buy side at 104.70p @ 1549 hrs?
Someone want's a few.
Same thing happened on Friday @ 1500 hrs keeping the price over 104p.
ITV should get a boost tomorrow if YouTube/Google report continued ad revenue strength tonight.
BT
I sold the last small part of my BT position today at 143p - on first spike but maybe too early but BT is volatile.
BT have results next week and I am not hopeful.
It's not unusual for a company to put up defences and leak it - normally to boost their price.
I actually thought BT had already done this?
Sounds like Adam Crozier has landed! - I used to work with him many many years ago.
I am pretty sure he did the same thing at ITV years ago - creative chap!

Hades, have you got back in BT? BT are taking steps to defend a takeover bid. December 10th I believe Drahi's 6 month exclusion expires.
