13/8/2020 10:31 | It's always best to follow the sage advice of our resident expert. When a CEO sells a huge percentage of their holdings you really need to bail out sharpish.Like when Kenny Alexander of GVC dumped 13.7 m GBP worth whilst stating just previously that the shares where undervalued. Shares fell to 507 in March 2019, so far so good. But anyone buying at that level (fools who don't listen to an expert) would have been able to sell their shares at 925 some 9 months later. A paltry 80% gain.Go figure. | alex1621
13/8/2020 09:08 | Incredible the excuses given for directors not buying even at these "low prices" but when a direct buys a decent amount with its own money, 99% will jump up and down and talk about confidence being shown - you can't make it up DYOR C7 - keeping it real as always | cautious7
13/8/2020 09:07 | It could mean you bought one share. C7 | cautious7
13/8/2020 09:03 | Jarega85: Well if it helps any I bought some more :-) Cheers Net! | netcurtains
13/8/2020 08:21 | Most FTSE directors are career professionals and many of them are not natural share buyers, but they happily accept share rewards as part of their compensation, selling some to cover tax charges. You tend to see more share buying activity amongst the entrepreneurial types you find in the smaller and mid-size companies. Share buying and selling can be a signal, but in my view not a consistently good one. | alex1621
13/8/2020 08:19 | 13 Million Goldfinger, Two large buy trades totalling 9.3 million shares after the close, with a total of 13 million shares purchased after the close. | nige co
13/8/2020 07:41 | Why on earth would the directors not want to buy shares when they are cheap!? I really dont understand your logic there | jarega85
13/8/2020 07:38 | Its worth noting that many directors buy after a prolonged period of growth to show they believe there is more to come. I think it looks a bit cheap for directors to buy shares at the bottom. So well done ITV directors for not buying - wait until its much higher. | netcurtains
12/8/2020 22:27 | There was another near 6 million after the bell. It is busting to break free. | goldfinger16
12/8/2020 22:22 | I thought there was something wrong here...I normally visit the other ITV 2020 more up to date thread. | royston6
12/8/2020 20:46 | I bought shares in Next around £40 not so long ago. There was a lot of broker negativity, with one suggesting that they were having a Kodak moment, sacrificing online by investing in stores. They'd screwed up with orders and fired a director, but seemed confident of recovery. I sold out around £68-£70, so about 70%. Won't go into anymore detail, but it wasn't small change. During that period, with the exception of share awards, I don't recall any significant director buys. In fact Simon Woolfson is an occasional seller of shares.Go figure. | alex1621
12/8/2020 20:03 | After today's narrow trading range, you would have thought that things may have settled down and we are back to the days of low volume and little or no movement in ITV. Wrong !!!! Take a look at all those late reported trades..........wowz | ivanborsky
12/8/2020 18:57 | Britbox is becoming very popular, but who would have thought 'Thunderbirds' would be that popular, many youngsters today would love it. Britbox has a tremendous back catalogue, who matches it. It could really take off, if enough people watched it and spread the word. | bobdiamond1
12/8/2020 13:50 | Resident bulletin board financial advisor with the avatar Cautious7. He's considerably richer than you and a recognised expert in hindsight analysis. A rare breed. | alex1621
12/8/2020 13:24 | what is C7 ? | haroldthegreat
12/8/2020 13:04 | Positive Britbox article in The Times (must be a first) : | gerardp
12/8/2020 13:03 | All looking good here again, up over 20% since last weeks lows and further gains on the immediate horizon. A quick stall perhaps at the 50 day and 100 day MA which is just under 70p and then blue skies ahead ! Onwards and upwards team ! | ivanborsky
12/8/2020 12:35 | Netflix are the biggest spenders and at the moment the biggest producers, but they are haemorrhaging money. If it is of interest read this link from April 2020 which concludes that the debt is rising and so are Netflix viewers, but the crunch is subscriptions fees are low. | bobdiamond1
12/8/2020 12:18 | Just seen a piece on the BBC news about actors pay, seems Netflix are the best payers, paying that big bald guy $88 million in a year. And they moan about high salaries over here, that is obscene! | stag6
12/8/2020 12:12 | They are all holding back in the Board room until C7 pulls the trigger. That's their buy signal. | alex1621 |
