12/8/2020 13:50 | Resident bulletin board financial advisor with the avatar Cautious7. He's considerably richer than you and a recognised expert in hindsight analysis. A rare breed. | alex1621
12/8/2020 13:24 | what is C7 ? | haroldthegreat
12/8/2020 13:04 | Positive Britbox article in The Times (must be a first) : | gerardp
12/8/2020 13:03 | All looking good here again, up over 20% since last weeks lows and further gains on the immediate horizon. A quick stall perhaps at the 50 day and 100 day MA which is just under 70p and then blue skies ahead ! Onwards and upwards team ! | ivanborsky
12/8/2020 12:35 | Netflix are the biggest spenders and at the moment the biggest producers, but they are haemorrhaging money. If it is of interest read this link from April 2020 which concludes that the debt is rising and so are Netflix viewers, but the crunch is subscriptions fees are low. | bobdiamond1
12/8/2020 12:18 | Just seen a piece on the BBC news about actors pay, seems Netflix are the best payers, paying that big bald guy $88 million in a year. And they moan about high salaries over here, that is obscene! | stag6
12/8/2020 12:12 | They are all holding back in the Board room until C7 pulls the trigger. That's their buy signal. | alex1621
12/8/2020 11:55 | Perhaps not buying because in possession of sensitive information . | haroldthegreat
12/8/2020 11:49 | Me too. And even if they bid I doubt the Board would do an exclusive deal. They'd reject it, and open the field for any number of others ... Disney, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and many others, some of whom I've probably never heard of. The studios business and archive alone are attractive. And you could hive off free to air. | alex1621
12/8/2020 11:19 | Hi Very hot outside for the 1oth day in a row here, got the air con on. Not really been out even for a wlak other than to see our grandson in the eveneings when our son has finnished work - we often enjoy cool drinks and watch out grandson play i disgress :( reading some other itv forums forgive me for not lol and i do feel sorry for those that topped up between 140 and 190 and possibly bought above 2 quid as this rising itv price is a repeat of a few weeks ago, up and down. no divi in sight, no bid in sight and many must be praying that it does not happen as they will lose many k's and the bottom line - why are your directors not buying big style with their own money or even just buying?? DYOR Regards C7 - lol | cautious7
12/8/2020 11:10 | alex..I have often thought that it would be a bigger name than Liberty coming for ITV. | jacko07
12/8/2020 11:08 | That news is a surprise and may explain some of the recent movement in ITV. Liberty may well have placed their stake in ITV to someone else. I read the article and it shows that M&A activity is upon us. | jacko07
12/8/2020 10:54 | I think there is too much focus on Liberty, and not enough on the other content players in the industry. | alex1621
12/8/2020 10:35 | I really think Liberty are out of the running at the moment.Their original idea was to roll ITV in with Virgin Media but the massive O2 deal has changed all that! Now rolling O2 into Virgin Media will take at least 18 months and it has to successfully completed first - all three are UK assets | boix
12/8/2020 10:28 | Strange move by Liberty considering they were looking to exit the Swiss business last year. It was Sunrise who were looking to purchase assets from Liberty until it was blocked by their main shareholder. | gerardp
12/8/2020 10:00 | Liberty Global launches $7.4bn takeover for Sunrise | nige co
12/8/2020 09:16 | lets have a covid recovery then someone can pay a 30 premium on top of 150pthe share price was 40 percent higher just a few weeks ago... | stansmith3
12/8/2020 09:11 | Sorry, price paid in GBP = £4.17 billion | alex1621
12/8/2020 09:00 | Look on the bright side:Sunrise revenue 2019 in GBP = 1,588 mSunrise profit after tax in GBP = 47 mITV revenue 2019 = 3,308 mITV profit after tax = 478 mPrice paid for Sunrise in GBP = 4.71 billionITV market capitalisation = 2.6 billion | alex1621
12/8/2020 08:28 | if they say they have had preliminey bid interest then 95p in a blink | onjohn
12/8/2020 07:35 | yep DOW is slightly UP - but not much. I think FTSE on its own this morning. Be interesting to see how ITV fairs. | netcurtains
11/8/2020 22:09 | TrinkyTree Dow pretty flat now, so FTSE on its own... Interesting open... I'll look in on Dow first thing in the morning... | netcurtains
11/8/2020 21:41 | Dow tumbled in to the close on a tech sell off. Could lead to a red open across the ftse tomorrow. | trikytree |
