Olympics coming up too.
ITV dont get great viewing figures during Olympics but there is a lot of
extra advertising revenue coming through on sports gear/clothing, drinks
etc etc (corporates want to be noticed during event).....

Should be a good ITV summer...

Position update!

Since my 22 Dec 2023 post on LSE, I have continued to add and now hold > 1m ITV shares, average in the low 60s. Unrealised profit is £200k+. Annual dividends are £50k+ (nice!)

Obviously I am really pleased where the price is 6 months later, however I see no reason to sell, and will continue compounding my position size by adding monthly and reinvesting all dividends... roll on 25 July interim results and the 1.7p dividend announcement (or more please!) ;)

Better than saying -hope you all loose loads of money --so I'm cool . Everyone makes their own decisions I suppose .Agree with the last post I think the chart is looking good we also have news coming in July which might be better than thought we've had a few up ratings off brokers and Divi maybe increased . I'm not selling mine

A football match or two isn't going to impact ITV's share price to be fair.

@spacedust . Are you serious ? Or on drugs ? A 2/3 week football tournament wouldn’t have that impact on the share price A bid perhaps but we’ve seen many false dawns on that front over the years so don’t hold your breath

90% or so of the short funds have closed in the last 10 years. It has been a graveyard.

Shorting is still a strategy for some but now it is used more for portfolio protection

I have shorted some very popular ADVFN stocks. There have been some that a 30 minute read of the accounts have given the game away. carillion was one. It really shows how inefficient the markets are.

We just need engerlaaand to keep winning and progressing. Itv viewings will shoot through the roof.

My prediction - englerlsnd reach semis = itv at 100p plus

If all other big guns reach semis too then share price will be 120p. Should there be eng v germs final then 130p

sadly there are a lot like them, its entirely possible a lot of tories will join/stay with farage as they will feel like they are on a winning team (just like the multi generational labour only voters switched to the snp) - we just have to hope we dont go full trump with absolute idiots getting elected and anyone speaking common sense being silenced....this is what happens when idiots are given a platform, brexit etc.....
