Sparky was referring to the 5% jump in the share price in the last hour of trade yesterday. His comment was tongue in cheek I feel.

It would have been nice if the jump had been caused by sight of the update but I doubt it. We have seen similar jumps in the last hour of trading, probably down to US funds buying. Another today would be nice.

If we do get a trading update tomorrow as many of us are expecting, then it is important that the US markets finish strongly today so that the trading update is taken well. When the markets are in a bad mood, even good news is taken as bad news.

Grity shorters have been moving on from 12 to 8% sadly the share price has not rocketed! Still it’s now a game of patience, and on the plus side the Pound will not be strong for some time to come, which will help ;)

The very weak pound should provide a boost to earnings as IQE is a net exporter. Maybe that is giving a bit of support.

23,000 on the Dow has been nailed on for a couple of months now.
Whether the Dow falls much below that is doubtful imo.

In any case we should get the traditional Xmas rise if only as a dead-cat bounce!

As a new year's quiz question....What would happen if Trump's horse tripped on a mole-hill? How would they toast him in Troon?

Very disappointing the share price slide over the last week on such low volume. Shorters are probably the only sellers but no buyers out there at all. PR this year is nothing short of a disgrace!

I have no doubt that the company and the order book are in excellent shape but the PR this year has been dreadful and when general market conditions are as poor as they are, investors need positive reasons to invest. Substantially better PR is needed from the company if the profile and perception of the company are to be improved.

Maybe the new CFO will see things that way too.

There is general economic conditions thats not looking good on the other end companies like Fujifilm, Phillips, IV-VI, Micron, Macom, Samsung and etc. investing Hundereds of Millions in Vcsels and 3d sensing geared towards lidar, 5g and general house hold devices. Foundries will lead as there will handful of player leading the market. I think Dr Drew nelsons words to BBC were quite Bullish as he has been saying IQE is not a one trick pony I believe he means it. Jam tomorrow and tomorrow is not far dont expect over night spikes unless someone is greedy to takeover.IMHO I know nothing. All I will say dont panic and dyor. Good night..
