24/12/2018 18:29 | Regas, I don't mind betting that VRS will be down next year and IQE will be up. I think IQE has served it's time for the irrational exuberance of 2017 and we will see a good year ahead. Maybe not on Thursday though with the Dow Jones having just closed 700 points down. Mind you, the US markets are open boxing day so anything can happen. Have a good Xmas. I hope we all survive the grandchildren. | bocase
24/12/2018 18:18 | Well, that's it until after Christmas. 24-12-2018: IQE 64.7p -0.5p. VRS 126p +5p IQE: down 55% since this time last year. VRS: doubled over the past 12-months. In 1996, Tony Blair's rallying cry was, "Education, education, education!" My cry is, "Communication, communication, communication!" IQE's telephone seems to be permanently 'off-the-hook'! Must sign-off, "she who must be obeyed " is calling to say she's just poured my bath. Have a good day tomorrow all. | regasclockwork
24/12/2018 14:37 | Maybe something and may come to nothing but worth the speculation at this stage.Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of payment cards that were designed in the 1950s. The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Signing up is free and they only ask for your name and an email address. There's nothing to lose but if this payment system becomes a world leading payment method your Qs can be worth a lot. If you missed getting bitcoin seven years ago, you wouldn't want to miss this. Here is my invite link: https://initiativeq. | sparky333
23/12/2018 17:45 | Totally agree Regas. | bocase
23/12/2018 16:48 | There are a lot of happy 'punters' over on VRS at the moment. Many are expressing their gratitude to the CEO Neill Ricketts for keeping then 'up to speed' on all that is happening with the company. And, even in these turbulent times , VRS's share price has soared around 9p to 124p these last two working days [-1.45p for IQE], probably on 'NEWS' handed out by the directors. Unfortunately, we have nothing to cheer about as our CEO and the rest of the BOD, appear to prefer to keep us in the dark. But, hopefully, when the new CFO takes up his post, that will all change for the better. Have a good Christmas all and a happy & healthy new year. The 'wealth' bit looks like it's on hold and could be for some time to come. Unless of course we get a two quid takeover offered to us? GLA! | regasclockwork
22/12/2018 12:35 | Selfishly I’d love to be able to buy in the 50s again short term, with my eye on the long side... | tomduck
22/12/2018 12:11 | Our 'hope' for next week is a counter-trend rally in the US as it is very over-sold and for IQE possibly being tipped in the New Year share tips, after such a battering in 2018. | bocase
22/12/2018 11:34 | With the US taking another battering yesterday and LITE down 7% to its November profit-warning lows I sadly can't see next week being positive. Forbes are continuing their slagging off of everything AAPL - it would be nice to have news of other customer engagements, as others have reqquested. | sf5
21/12/2018 17:31 | Much sooner than that .....Trust me | manormark
21/12/2018 17:25 | Just another 60 million to go then! | jimboyce
21/12/2018 16:14 | You don't want to get caught short at Christmas! | croquetman
21/12/2018 16:03 | T Rowe holding unchanged but their shares on loan have dropped by another 2m to 34m now. | cheek212
21/12/2018 15:33 | Although the new xfo may have a 6-month notice obligation in his contract, it is very possible that he will leave just after he completes closing his books for 2018. Companies do not want a "lame duck" around any longer than is necessary, especially if the employee will be privy to their detailed financial planning for 2019. No need for an RNS. We know the score already. As already noted - anything "material" must be disclosed, which suggests nothing further is amiss. It would be nice to know what they expect 2019 revenue to be though. | yankeekraut
21/12/2018 13:19 | Early in 2019 has been stated. I believe he will be on 6 months notice with Arm, which means a start of mid to end of March 2019. | jimboyce
21/12/2018 12:46 | Knowing how quickly they rushed out the scandalous 1st one on the 12th November I think that if trading had deteriorated any further than what they were expecting they would have issued a fresh warning. They have a legal obligation to tell the market as soon as possible if there are any material differences than what the market is expecting. They have already told us what they expect revenue & profits to be so why repeat and we all know how poor their PR is regarding new reactors, contracts etc... | blueflame
21/12/2018 12:20 | How can that be positive??? They have given updates in previous years. it dropped to 60p from 90p on the Apple cutback news.I am concerned they do not want to face the music with reality, they must know their final sales for 2018, machines on order, new customers coming on board, what are they hiding? | cujimy
21/12/2018 07:19 | So thats it by the look of things, no trading update until 2019. That has got to be taken as a positive in my view that things have not got any worse since the disastrous profit warning in November. It was obviously further backed up by Drews interview with the BBC last week. Let us hope that IQEs annus horribilis changes into annus mirabilis in 2019.... | blueflame
20/12/2018 22:22 | hxxp://www.eenewseur In the article it says no commentary is made what will happen to UK companies such as IQE once the UK exits the EU in March 2019. €1.7 billion in microchips we may or may not be part of it. Does anyone know if we have any partnership with Osram one below Phillips in competition ?? | mhassanriaz |
