09/9/2017 23:28 | I second that picobird. sweenoid has contributed more to our knowledge of IQE than anyone. It's just that I have had some experience of some of the publications mentioned by sweenoid so I think that lobbying them could actually be counter productive and might not produce the desired reactions. Some of those publications might use the fact that IQE has no contracts with Apple as an excuse to beat IQE around the head, especially if they have already made a point that IQE needs to announce a contract with Apple if it is to be taken seriously. It doesn't matter if they are wrong about that. Shareholders lobbying them could simply trigger such a reaction. One writer calls himself the Sheriff of AIM and loves nothing better than to try and bring what he sees as weak and vulnerable AIM companies down. He boasts of his successes. I cannot imagine IQE appreciating that sort of attention and it might even cause the share price to dip even if it didn't adversely influence sensitive contract negotiations that IQE might be involved in. I've had quite a few years making money from trading shares and witnessed the activities of some of those characters. Some of the companies they attacked in their columns did not deserve it and shareholders lost money because of it. I know seenoid means well but I think his suggestion was a trifle unwise. | daijavu
09/9/2017 22:47 | @picobird - kind thought, but I'm definitely out of my league in that post! ☺️ | dpmeyer
09/9/2017 22:44 | Always amusing when posters with multiple aliases talk to themselves to create the impression of a consensus. | gepetto
09/9/2017 22:19 | Methinks that this thread is very lucky having sweenoid & dpmeyer on it. Thanks guys. | picobird
09/9/2017 22:10 | Have a read - hxxp://www.iqep.com/ It fully justifies the market capitalisation and the inflection that will happen. Don't under-estimate this company. This company is cheap now. | lyme regis1

09/9/2017 21:16 | If you have good news why not promote it as best you can. Its only the shorters that it annoys. | lyme regis1
09/9/2017 21:16 | Hmm. If sweenoid thinks pumping of that sort is necessary then he must be worried about something that he is not telling us about. It might be time to bail out. | daijavu
09/9/2017 20:43 | Getting peeps to call up journos to pump this stock? One wouldn't need to if one was 100 pct confident.A bit desperate . | rackers1
09/9/2017 19:45 | This is going to be the longest and greatest pump and dump in history! :-) | sheep_herder
09/9/2017 19:40 | That's the practice of someone looking for an exit. | steptoes yard
09/9/2017 19:36 | Sweenoid I am a bit surprised that you have now resorted to doing quite a bit of pumping by emailing tipsheets, newspapers etc.and advising others to do so. Your information has been par excellence but is this going a bit too far. | loobrush
09/9/2017 18:04 | Thanks, Trig 😉 | dpmeyer
09/9/2017 17:55 | Excellent source and a game changer; hxxp://appleinsider. then have a look at iphone sales and ipad sales; www.cnbc.com/2017/08 | lyme regis1
09/9/2017 17:14 | The company is recruiting personnel for the power business unit. Agree with sweenoid the GaN revenue stream start will happen earlier than analyst expectations. | jugu
09/9/2017 17:08 | Just in.. so.. on this wet weekend everyone is sat inside counting their (expected) gold.. playing "guess the income stream". As well as IQE being my most profitable share (as long term holder) it is also one of the most interesting. Whisper mode on.. I tend to avoid Apple products... yes yes I know.. IQE tis in loads of other stuff too, all pervading in diversity and volume, as my toaster keeps telling me ;-) | dr_smith
09/9/2017 16:51 | Graphene oh Dear, give it up Shavian ;-) BUT increasing awareness of IQE and its involvement in the new iPhone now seemingly CONFIRMED by the Apple Insider link ( although WE know it's true, others need more clear cut evidence), should be disseminated , I hate the practice of promoting a stock on other threads However , promoting this news to those that could have influence What I suggest, is what I do I have e- mailed The Sunday Times Business dept, Tempus and the Sunday Times money sections with the link and some info - nothing might come of it but I am trying I suggest those with subscriptions to tip sheets , YOU do the same, I hate tip sheets, but lots here and elsewhere like them , send the stuff to shareprophets, IC , yes reassure Mr Stacey ;-), your own favourite newspaper business sections etc etc It's one of those times when PROPOGNDA is a good tactic, a brief explanation and copyand paste of that URL- go on do it! Get working folks ! S | sweenoid
09/9/2017 16:21 | A few pages back some of you were posting their views on where the 'next IQE' was coming from. I generally dislike people spamming other companies all over ADVFN, but as we have been so fortunate in having the benefit of serious research from DS, Sheepy and the others, I feel there's a case for occasionally posting up breaking news about other shares liked by regulars on the board here. I appreciated the tips given here about CPX and CYAN, and did my own DD and have bought 'lottery tickets' in each - with pleasing results so far. In return I hope the purists will forgive me if I add a brief mention of Versarien (VRS). This small engineering group has been on the verge of commercialising graphene for a while, and has had its product verified by University of Manchester as being 'few-layer' graphene - between 3 and 10 atoms thick. Universities of both Manchester and Cambridge are shareholders. It is understood to be in NDA with over 100 manufacturers worldwide, some of them colossal. The game changer came this week when ISO published its long-awaited standards for graphene. Nothing over 10 layers may qualify, which knocks out most of the companies around the world struggling with 'thin graphite' and claiming it to be graphene. VRS's AGM is on Thursday and good news may emerge. Please DYOR and forgive me for going OT. Disclosure: I hold both VRS and IQE | shavian
09/9/2017 16:18 | Ot. Sheep , there was a case on the Arm thread by the Name of Rodey must have made a mint, is he still around | grity
09/9/2017 15:41 | Actually, if you follow that link Maxwell posted to Apple Insider, there's a funny quote. "Kuo points out that structured light transmitter and receiver setups have distance constraints. With an estimated 50 to 100 centimeter hard cap,...". Yeah, that hard cap on the distance is the length of your ARM. lol. I'd love to see someone hold their phone 100cm from their face! Edit: lol, I'm so used to writing ARM but I actually meant arm. Obvs. | sheep_herder
09/9/2017 15:37 | Dan, that's a good point I guess. If I think about the number of reports we've seen posted to this thread where they haven't got a clue, you may well be right. In that case, I'm more than happy to be proven wrong and will happily take the tongue lashing as the price crashes through £2. :-) | sheep_herder
09/9/2017 15:15 | Sheep ;) thanks, concur being conservative and realistic is best, any upside is then a welcome surprise. | richardc77 |
