Are you suggesting red wine should be decanted for 24 hours?

Most reds will require no longer than 30-90 minutes, except the really heavy full-bodied tannic wines. For the older classic reds (10 to 15+ years) I would probably just put it in the decanter and wait 30 minutes maximum. Otherwise the aromas tend to drop off and the flavour edges away.

Poombear my collection of high growth, momentum, disruptive technology plays includes IQE, wandisco, bango, frontier developments and taptica. IQE is the largest!

Decent red wine gets better for at least 24hrs post opening so always best to think ahead. Certainly good practice to open in the morning for that evening. Talking of wine, bang for buck (especially when bought En Primeur) you cannot go wrong with La Dame De Montrose, 2010 was a superb year and buying En Primeur is a great way of drinking better wine than you would otherwise justify a few years down the line :)🍷

Taptica (TAP) just possibly, though very probably not to the same extent as IQE.

Iqe aside, what I'd really like to hear about are companies that are about to start a spectacular rise, got any of those????

Just as an aside, IQE is not alone in attracting investment attention. PRSM (robotics) has had an even rather more spectacular rise in it's share price over the past year and it is still loss-making!

tonsil this is blasting upwards on a straight up trajectory. I would forget any notion of too high a percentage of my total investment and buy at thwese higher prices with look to sell if double top looks arriving as supect support will be much lower.

I am a fan of TORRES red and had it at my wedding (although not the gran reserva).
What year is your wine?

Tonsil, on some threads I am well known for my following of the Elliott Wave charting analysis theory. It does not always prove to be right!!

I shall not bore everyone here today with the technical analysis behind it.

All I will say is that there are 5-waves involved in most major share price movements. They can be either up or down.

When the share price broke the 150p level upwards on the volume of trading seen today it has moved us into the 3rd upward wave.

Note: this is always the strongest wave upwards.

It will certainly take us to 180p and more than likely to £2 very quickly.

Big round figures in the charts are always good testing points and we might see some resistance around £2.

But the story here is so BIG do not be tempted to take early profits.

NOTE: we need to hold 150p today.

IQE have been at 44% efficiency for years :-)

IQE CPV will be ALL about satellites in the short term unless the price of oil goes 70p+, terrestrial won't be a market even for desalination plants in Saudi etc

here is what is relevant

'news' is now 1 year old , but solar junction are obliged by contract ( because of IQE's previous investment and before Solar Junction was bought in effect by the Saudi Government) to use IQE's technology exclusively, IQE management are still VERY positive on the outlook for solar going forward , they will KNOW what SJ are up to :-)
have a look at the link to the Sierra Nevada corporation who they are supplying with their technology - this is very big potential business, the Sierra Nevada corporation are by far and away the biggest 'space' company in the world

yet another major market that WILL be exploited

Looking at the 17 year chart is interesting... not so scary....still about 80% off the dotcom bubble highs. I've held this share for over 10 years but was not in for that crazy time. Hard to believe it was nearly £8.

I meant notional stop loss, I never have any in the mkt to be hoovered up by MMS. Just set one notionally, not too tight and then apply it. I'm not a clairvoyant so in my case if there is a close 20% down then it works for me , I'm not saying it works for everyone. Everyones approach is different as is everyone's timeframe.
