10/9/2017 17:09 | Top rumour seems to be a 3D face recognition camera. The augmented reality 3D camera on the rear of the phone has vanished from the current rumours. According to reports Apple "accidentally" leaked details of the latest iPhones. I have my doubts that it was accidental. More likely, it was Apple's version of "Operation Mincemeat"? | maxwellsdemon
10/9/2017 16:32 | It doesn't cost IC whether right or wrong. No skin off their wallet if wrong ;-) They have to fill their pages week in, week out, and it hardly matters what they do it with. | grabster
10/9/2017 15:36 | Good afternoon .The IC has IQE down as a sell ?!!in this weeks issue | daithedeath
10/9/2017 12:49 | Re read your post dai and tell us how that isn't disrespectful | thereptile

10/9/2017 10:02 | Shameful to see ppl calling a ramper. Happy when he's probing the CEO of Macom and doing well detailed research and providing us with knowledge into the company FPR FREE, but one thing ppl disagree with they call him a ramper. He must've been ramping since the sub 20p then right? Continue the good work that you are doing sweenoid it is much appreciated by most. | bauchsapt
10/9/2017 09:45 | Fullbright, 3 years rent free is pretty favourable. :-). IIRC, they have the lease for 11-years and have the option to buy it outright. Rent is in the region of £6-10 per sq ft from what I can see in the area. But that totally depends on how generous the Cardiff Capital Region are. | sheep_herder
10/9/2017 09:29 | Fantastic to see IQE mentioned in that slide, 99% of U.K. journos would never have spotted that but guys on here that are prepared to do the legwork do, especially Sweenoid. He can go and tell anybody anything he likes in my book. Hell, if he said the the moon really is made of cheese I'd back him lol...Keep up the great work Dave. | blueflame
10/9/2017 09:27 | As part of the cluster collaboration, I understand that IQE will benefit from favorable terms on the old LG Facility, over a 3-year term. Does anybody know, or hazard a guess, as to what the commercial value of the property is, should they choose to either buy it up, or continue lease/rent in 3 years? | fullbright
10/9/2017 09:17 | I have been surprised that there have not been any meaningful analyst forecast upgrades following the post results briefing - indeed, at least one of the three minor upgrades was published prior to the briefing. It was also notable that the briefing was a tightly closed shop. Why?Perhaps that schematic in the Apple Insider article provides a clue. Perhaps IQE do have a more direct relationship with Apple than many of us, self included, had assumed. Perhaps the analysts are holding off publishing their upgrades until after the launch of the i8. Perhaps IQE have an IR plan in place, again to be actioned after the i8 launch. All just idle speculation on my part but the week ahead could become more interesting than some of us has imagined. | crazycoops
10/9/2017 09:16 | Thanks for your continual ramping Dave, You have suckered me in since aug 2012, and everytime my monthly sipp money came in you ramped it again. Am retiring now several years ahead of schedule, you nasty ramper you | darkdogs
10/9/2017 09:08 | Sweenoid you get all sorts I remember earlier days there were those that thought you were an IQE employee ramping this. Any ramper would have disappeared many moons ago! I applaud you for not giving up and taking the time to respond to such remarks. Readers need to sit back and give a little thought before firing off such accusations, it seems only the newbees seem to come back with such responses, that says it all. We must not loose your contributions as result of a few myopics. This appleinsider news should be covered and shared with the taxpaying public who I'm sure would now appreciate why all these grants/funding was provided by the welsh/uk governments. | jugu
10/9/2017 09:03 | Good post sweenoid. Nil carborundum illegitimus! | desperate dan
10/9/2017 08:44 | Totally agreed with you there | panic investor
10/9/2017 07:16 | - and that comes from a tax avoiding git - also tell that to Ratner | panic investor
10/9/2017 06:21 | Richard Branson's view is that there is no such thing as bad publicity and I am sure he is right. The earnings that IQE are going to generate will ensure that the share price looks after itself. Raising itself profile by creating more awareness can do no harm. Let's face it, not one person in a thousand that you stopped in the street would even have heard of them at the moment. Good on you Sweenoid. | bocase
10/9/2017 01:03 | I really don't think that sloppily inaccurate journalistic coverage is going to derail this company or the trajectory of its share price. I agree that the nonsense about 'contracts with Apple' is one area where the idiotic writers might generate a very brief moment of negativity in the minds of those unfamiliar with the actual situation - but that ain't gonna have any ongoing impact at all - and if it has some momentary effect on the share price I look forward to taking fullest advantage ;-) | grabster
09/9/2017 23:28 | I second that picobird. sweenoid has contributed more to our knowledge of IQE than anyone. It's just that I have had some experience of some of the publications mentioned by sweenoid so I think that lobbying them could actually be counter productive and might not produce the desired reactions. Some of those publications might use the fact that IQE has no contracts with Apple as an excuse to beat IQE around the head, especially if they have already made a point that IQE needs to announce a contract with Apple if it is to be taken seriously. It doesn't matter if they are wrong about that. Shareholders lobbying them could simply trigger such a reaction. One writer calls himself the Sheriff of AIM and loves nothing better than to try and bring what he sees as weak and vulnerable AIM companies down. He boasts of his successes. I cannot imagine IQE appreciating that sort of attention and it might even cause the share price to dip even if it didn't adversely influence sensitive contract negotiations that IQE might be involved in. I've had quite a few years making money from trading shares and witnessed the activities of some of those characters. Some of the companies they attacked in their columns did not deserve it and shareholders lost money because of it. I know seenoid means well but I think his suggestion was a trifle unwise. | daijavu
09/9/2017 22:47 | @picobird - kind thought, but I'm definitely out of my league in that post! ☺️ | dpmeyer
09/9/2017 22:44 | Always amusing when posters with multiple aliases talk to themselves to create the impression of a consensus. | gepetto
09/9/2017 22:19 | Methinks that this thread is very lucky having sweenoid & dpmeyer on it. Thanks guys. | picobird |
