SG,little question regarding Cosayach. If SQM were to acquire Cosayachs lithium and/or iodine mining assets as well as the seawater pipeline, would the pipeline supply enough brine to cover Cosayachs operations ans well as SQMs iodine mines? I personally suspect not but it would be interesting to know and whether SQM would have to add a second seawater pipeline to cover all operations.

Misstates are on the sweet spot with 900 identified drill locations with some record wells for the area, so there will be interest in them. Chesa is the most likely as they have acreage all around them.

crazy thanks. The report mentioned using the funds to pay off their debts. Are Midstates severely indebted and is this a concern? Im not assuming that any concern would directly effect IOF at this stage, but it would be good to know. Thanks.

A fairly significant asset sale by MPO yesterday:

In particular, this comment caught my eye:

Mark E. Eck, Midstates’ Executive Vice President and COO commented, “This sale of our Dequincy assets is another step forward in our overall strategic plan to add liquidity and focus on our premier position in the Mid-Continent. We will continue to evaluate all options that maximize value for our stakeholders and best position Midstates to succeed in the future.”

It will be interesting to see what (if any) other asset sales they have in mind. As superg suggested, maybe Chesa will be on the prowl.

As each pair is timed so close together I cannot imagine they are not roll-overs.

Are these pairs of 'sales' showing this morning really sales or rollovers?
Can anyone with L2 throw any light.

Maybe, one of the new board members is an M&A specialist although this said, they are searching for a new permanent CEO. I am keeping an eye for any sign that they might be selling off assets rather than selling the whole co.

I suspect Chesa will grab them.

Midstates have replaced their interim CEO with another interim CEO:

Things not looking good there with a lot of other board changes. I suspect there are some dire results on the way.

Whilst 90 days is general rule, if this turns out to be cut and dry and very one sided you'll probably see something a whole lot sooner.

Standard regulatory time-frames Neddo. Typically most decisions are made within a month of the closing date though, so im hopeful that we should hear by month end approximately. Then we may hear at the same time or possibly after a short delay, of Q1 performance, how the water operations will proceed, any capital injections and roll out plans for the plants. There should be a lot of good news in the short-ish terms. Ive topped up at last and am now going to turn the pc off for a few weeks.
