Numis and GMP don't get it, they are slowly getting it. Iodine and industrial water are markets that don't exist in the financial world.

Even some serious SQM investors didn't realise SQM did Iodine.

Just think it would be Helium one day too, and that doesn't exist as a market either.

Now if IOF said they smelt some oil when passing a well one day, and hadn't got anything else, then all hell would break loose.

Oil, gold, more oil, more gold.... they get that but not how much it costs to get it out of the ground.

For the record I like 3 resource shares.

Iofina.

A huge resource and low cost to extract.

Obtala

Forestry. A resource sat on stumps, easy to recover at low costs and the Chinese going nuts for it.

Fox Marble

A huge resource sat .5 metres under the surface. I don't hold that one I just watch.

The city thinks resource stocks, but lumps huge capex, and funding needed on all of them, looking no deeper than that.

If other resource markets were in such circs as is going on in Chile, then the market would be falling over themselves buying into well positioned companies in the sector.

Chile covers 60% of the market and a host of serious issues are bubbling away.

There is nothing economical enough to replace Chile production, other than the US in the future.

As simple suspending of water rights affecting Tarapaca during the worst drought in 50 years and the iodine market will ignite, as 30 to 40% of the iodine production would stop.

All of SQM's production relies on water rights, they have no seawater pipelines.

Sorry, SG, typical girl, not interested in the facts and figures, just fell in love with the bodywork! Don't think the price will bother him but he does like to drive it around town so not really for him.

Thanks Superg. Always good to hear your ideas. But don't understand why the market doesn't get it.

Well we were wondering if one that used to post here named that one, as he is an owner, and suggested the name to them.

He has one like this

Woody

That one is a track car at £1.8 mill.

I don't get your thought process as they are two separate businesses.

The iodine side and chem div is going well with probably about $10 mill cash and climbing.

The water permit if issued would require either funds to build the depot or a JV where the partner may pay for that. That has been on the table before.

Without water we have thriving iodine business which imo has the largest potential.

The IT which I won't mention is very interesting.

If we get the water permit imo we have a very cheap SP, if we don't get the water permit we still have a cheap share price

The water permit wait, and no strategy update is what holds us back. I can see various reasons why the strategy may be delayed as it may have changed.

For all we know Pennsylvania industrial water treatment companies could be nagging IOF for plants.

Chart suggest a close over 47p with support might be very heavily bought. But getting up there is the problem! While I hold, I have difficulty penetrating to the truth of how important this water rights case is, should it NOT come through for IOF. Current weakness seems to be about that.

Awol

Plenty of action either side, we are in CGT territory now, which does mean volumes on many shares. Some sold to take the profit, and some sold to offset etc.

So at times like this it's hard to call re supply and demand.

FUM has been a bit of a strange one too in the last week or so.

Am I missing the point...two trades of 125k and we are slipping...sells or buys or MMs at it again?

Should be quite a big rise on positive water news as absolutely nothing in the price at these levels imo

Try the csd500 launch in 2006 by FUM.

OR waiting for that GDL 1 well test report due out Q1 2013.

I am learning. A friend of mine (well I know him), has been around the planet about 4 times speaking to the same folks re interest in their product.

Often it's like an extended house chain with any tweak in the chain causes a disproportionate knock-on effect, but on a far more complicated and fragile scale.

I forget the amount of times over the years that item X has been promised to be delivered on day Y, and it doesn't happen.

CEOs can get a load of earache re news, but often it's based on what they know or don't know at the time.
