Hamham, this is not about what the price will be in a few hours of days, it’s about accumulating and holding for 2-5 years for starters, it’s called investing when markets present fabulous opportunities, each to his own I guess GL

How long can IAG survive before needing a bailout?

German airline Lufthansa Group has declared force majeure on its jet fuel supply contacts.

Lufthansa has had to invoke force majeure on the supply contracts as it has grounded 700 out of its fleet of 763 aircraft.

Looks like there will be a big surge in flights from rest of world, non-bucket and spade destinations over the next week. Then total lockdown.

Levered positions and lack of liquidity, if you ask me, we can agree to disagree.
This article agrees with me...

ham...shares are at this level because people have been scared into selling and shorters and MM's have been chasing the stock down.

Careful... I think what you refer to is greed leading to irrational exuberance. The hope of ever increasing asset prices, which we as small investors have been caught up on.

We can only try now to identify companies with a strong margin of safety, invest and learn not to get too greedy next time.

I hear pilots have been asked to take a 50% pay cut... while uncle Willie only takes a 20% cut and some execs refuse to take any cut at all! There's leadership for you!... Leaders eat last! Not a concept everyone is familiar with

Hindsight a wonderful thing. Thank goodness I sold at 602p. The stock market gods were smiling on me that day.

What a disaster for all things aviation.

Today the once mighty GE in America is in free fall, Boeing close to bankruptcy, Rolls Royce share price collapse, IAG in serious trouble.

If only we could go back to December and off load some shares retrospectively.

Shares are at these levels primarily because people over leverage themselves and are forced to sell.
ie, if they didn't have to sell they wouldn't, but they do and here we are.

droud...I just question whether a lot of the shares would be at these levels if it wasn't for shorters but I understand your position given that it is available.
