I don't see any point in trying to forcast share prices, or where the FTSE is going to be in a week or two etc .

I doubt that anyone here is clever enough to call a bottom so why even try

Good to see that Virgin appears to be isolated in calling for GOV support.

Monty, you need to do some research. IAG are now flying thousands of tonnes of freight per day. They may close airports to passengers, we still need food, medicines and a whole host of JIT imports from across the globe.

Tragically, all or most all will likely be true there.

Trump will announce package today and markets may rise for a bit, but with 100 million Americans locked down and more likely, the virus will pull the market down again I reckon. No endpoint in sight.

No announcement yet about whether any vaccine will be free to all, or if the Pharmaceutical companies will be seeking to monetise it.

Or you develop a vaccine and then that provides imminity. But if you are developing something you plan to give to billions of people you better be damn sure there are no serious side effects which are discovered down the road. And that's why testing takes a long time. And also gives extra weight to developing a test of seeing if you have had it already.
