27/3/2007 07:23 | INTERCEDE GROUP PLC ('Intercede' or 'the Company') Trading Update for the Full Year to 31 March 2007 Following the announcement of a number of contract wins during the final quarter of 2006, Intercede has continued to work closely both with its partners and with major systems integrators and service providers on an increasing number of US Federal Government opportunities. These opportunities have arisen as a result of HSPD-12, a Presidential Directive which requires all US Federal Government employees and contractors to have a state-of-the-art smart card based identity card complying with a new standard of Personal Identity Verification. Most recently, we can report that Intercede's MyID technology has been selected though our partner network for the next phase of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program. In parallel with HSPD-12, the TWIC program requires the issuance of a smart card containing biometric information to specified maritime workers at ports and vessels regulated by the US Transportation Security Administration and the US Coast Guard. This is a multi-year contract with more than 750,000 individuals forecast to require TWIC smart cards. In addition, we have also been informed that Intercede's MyID technology is to be adopted by two further major systems integrators in support of specific funded programs in the aerospace and defense sectors. The timelines for product procurement and delivery of the above programs have yet to be fully established. Thus, although Intercede's technology is rapidly gaining traction, the financial impact of all of these activities is not yet clear. In addition to the success Intercede is enjoying in relation to the US Federal Government market, the Group is also experiencing a growing interest in the use of its technology in other areas and territories, notable examples being the healthcare and financial markets. Following the progress made during the year, the Board expects revenue for the full year to 31 March 2007 to be no less than 20% higher than last year, which does not take into account the possible reporting of any late partner wins. The Group has also been cash generative since 30 September 2006. Intercede expects to announce its full year results for the year ended 31 March 2007 by the end of May/early June 2007. Lutterworth, United Kingdom (PRWeb) March 26, 2007 -- Intercede, a leading developer of powerful smart card and identity management software, Hirsch Electronics, a leading provider of physical security management systems and, Ultra Electronics, the manufacturer of Magicard secure ID card printers, are pleased to announce a major technology partnership. This partnership will enable any organization or Government agency to enhance efficiency, increase security and reduce costs by consolidating multiple identity and security credentials onto a single device which enables employees to securely access both physical and logical resources. This technology partnership integrates Intercede's MyID® smart card and identity management system with Hirsch's Velocity physical access control system (PACS) and Magicard printers. Using MyID as the central enrolment, issuance and management system, any organization or Government agency can immediately start issuing and managing converged identity badges in a single issuance process - How? In a single workflow and in a single pass, MyID pushes the required identity information into the Hirsch Velocity Physical access server while at the same time encoding the relevant identity credentials and printing graphical information onto a smart card using a Magicard printer. Intercede and HIRSCH will be demonstrating Physical/Logical interoperability on the HIRSCH booth #26049 at ISC West in Las Vegas - March 28 - 30, 2007. ISC West is where end-users of security, systems integrators, dealers, and installers cover all their security needs. Seamless integration of door control, alarm monitoring, credential enrollment, photo badging, video, dynamic graphics, database management and tutorials yields an easy to use and easy to install system suitable for a single door or an enterprise. Velocity is one of the first systems to utilize FIPS 201 PIV II smart cards in a physical access control system. Velocity Server software, along with the latest shipping controller firmware and universal reader interface can read the CHUID/FASC-N number on a PIV II card presented to either a contactless or contact reader. Access will be granted to personnel that have been enrolled into the Velocity PACS either locally or through the interoperable interface with the Intercede Identity/Card Management System. Hirsch's RUU-201 Verification Station can be used to perform a complete identity verification including PIN entry on a ScramblePad, a biometric fingerprint check and PKI certificate check. The RUU 201 can be used with Velocity to enroll a card issued by the Intercede IDMS/CMS, to gain access to a door, to verify identity at a spot check station or to confirm that the person enrolled is the one being given the card at issuance. "We are excited about the partnership with Intercede and Magicard" said HIRSCH's Vice President of Marketing, Rob Zivney. "Our end to end solution is cost effective for federal agencies, state & local governments, and corporate enterprises, We believe that FIPS 201has established a standard and the federal government has become a catalyst for smart card identity management solutions that can be deployed globally across many vertical markets" About Magicard Printers Magicard secure ID card printers from Ultra Electronics are used in a wide variety of portrait ID and access control applications, and incorporate innovative HoloKote® anti-counterfeiting technology, developed and patented by Ultra, which puts a watermark across the printed card surface. 21/3/2007 13:39 | igoe, that's a request for proposals for The US Treasury who are going to implement their own HSPD-12 solution rather than use the GSA or NBC SSP offerings. The GSA contract award is due this month or next month but I don't think Verisign are in the running for it unless they've teamed up with one of the bigger integrators. 21/3/2007 11:05 | Trading statement due in the next 2 weeks. My understanding is that HSPD-12 rollout has pretty much ground to a halt while the agencies focus on getting things right so I wouldn't expect any more revenue from that area over the 500k they said they'd book at the time of the interims. However it is then meant to ramp up in April-June so the year about to start should see a big benefit which will increase up to the Oct 08 deadline for issuance to all 1.8mm federal employees plus 4-5mm contractors. Plus we've got rollouts to Lockheed, the top 4 US bank and the NHS for the year ahead and hopefully more states along the lines of Pennsylvania with Verisign. In summary I'm looking for a nice increase in revenue for the year just ending but maybe not enough to carry them into profitability. However, the current year going forward should see revenues heading towards 5mm IMHO depending on contract timing which should give EPS of 4-5p if the costs associated with all the new projects they're working on don't increase too much. | ![]() wjccghcc
21/3/2007 10:22 | nice one igoe..IGP is looking more and more a buy..do want to tempt fate but there has been some nice consolidation after the results..looks like peeps and mkt can see the this yr onwards revenues are gonna be coming in. | ![]() jailbird
20/3/2007 20:18 | Latest news on the hspd-12 project. | ![]() igoe104
17/3/2007 07:08 | Latest on the twic project. TWIC is going to be a tamper-resistant, biometric credential. It will ensure positive confirmation of identity, and therefore, it will allow greater but more efficient access control at our most important and vulnerable facilities. We've already conducted security threat assessments on the eligible workers, and we expect to begin enrollment in this card process at the end of the month with an estimated population of almost three-quarters of a million port workers ultimately receiving cards. * So the solution is often some kind of a device or some middleware that allows bridging among these different systems. * | ![]() igoe104

10/3/2007 21:33 | The market in general would appear to show no interest in igp or the huge potential of smartcards at the moment, but as the few on here know that will change in time and indeed gives a little longer to top up. Below is a link to the healthcare market and the importance of smartcards. After reading you realise this market alone will be huge. | barnsey
