26/11/2006 17:06 | "Government thinking on the structure of the ID scheme has changed since the enabling legislation was passed in March. The traditional, monolithic IT programme model has been superseded by plans to re-use existing government systems where possible, and to share components with other departments and agencies. December's action plan will provide an up-to-date statement of direction, but the scheme's details are unlikely to be fully clarified before next summer. Senior industry figures say the fragmented approach needs careful management. 'If the government buys in pieces there has to be a mechanism allowing management across the piece,' said a source." And which CMS is the most interoperable with differing system components? Sounds right up MyID's alley. | ![]() wjccghcc

24/11/2006 15:54 | agree re supply/demand of shares. This is the begining. Always makes sense to sell on the way up if you have a large position in a tight stock so there will be sellers but i for one will be happy to take their stock. | ![]() pyman

24/11/2006 13:36 | As I indicated yesterday, I think the MM's are playing a few games to wrinkle out a bit of stock on the back of the weakness of FTSE. Nearly all buys today yet the MM's are attempting to drag the price down and rattle out a few sellers. I do know that Peel Hunt has one/more buyers who do not want to chase the price. At the same time there is still a seller in the 70p's. Supposedly!!! Maybe that's what the MM's want the market to believe. On the other hand a colleague whose compnay I know has a large holding in IGP informs me that the F.D. of the company has confirmed to him that the Convertible Loan stock is in firm hands, it can be converted at any time but more importantly they do not expect the holder/s to exercise the conversion until 2009. This means the market will not be hit by a lot of loose stock. Unless the company makes a placement the shares will remain in short supply and will continue to make new high ground. This is a story which has a long way to run. More importantly there are a number of companies out there which are involved in security which I believe would have an interest to get hold of IGP now that the break-through has been made. Watch this space. | aphrodites

24/11/2006 09:45 | TAKEN FROM THE COMPANY WEB SITE. Nov 23, 2006 - By Jeff Forristal Intercede Myid 7.1 Intercede's MyID software proved very comprehensive in the number of integration features and capabilities. Ian Lowe, the company's marketing manager, told us the company's goal is to make MyID the most interoperable smartcard and credential management system on the market. MyID 7.1 can indeed handle smartcards (including Mifare and iClass contactless cards), certificates, tokens, and identity information of all types for a wide range of application and access control uses, and does so using standard IT protocols and open integration of off-the-shelf components. The server portion of MyID installs on a Windows server platform (2000 or 2003), and exposes functionality through an IIS Web service, leveraging COM and XML. The server uses a multitude of different modules to interface with existing IT resources, including LDAP directories, databases, OTP systems, certificate authorities, SSO systems and more. MyID has an event-notification API to allow event information in XML format to propagate to other receiving systems, and a direct-access API that lets external applications directly invoke any MyID operational function. MyID also exposes various self-service portal functionality for users to access over Web browsers or kiosks. We found MyID's list of auditing capabilities quite extensive, including the ability to digitally sign audit records to deter tampering. Intercede told us that its research and development team continuously adds new features and interoperability, resulting in a new version of MyID released typically every nine months. Although that timeframe seems short, this is not a forced update. That's just the rate that the company is innovating, which we see as a good thing. | ![]() igoe104
24/11/2006 09:17 | TAKEN FROM A POSTER, FROM ANOTHER MESSAGE BOARD. Doing some interesting research I found that a Non-exec of Intercede used to be a former worldwide product manager at IBM.......With the possiblity of a deal with IBM/Lockheed and the 17 US agencies signed to IBM for the smartcard issue for HSPD-12 Mr Hoggarth is a good man to have on board.....his contacts will help the two come together.....If IGP get that deal we will be laughing all the way to the bank! Interesting. ROYSTON HOGGARTH (40) * Royston joined Logica in 1997 as director of international lines of business and group marketing director, responsible for the company's strategic development in the financial services, telecoms, energy and utilities and industry, distribution and transport sectors. Royston has been supervisory managing director for Mobile Networks and consulting and now has responsibility for Logica's business across Asia Pacific. Royston was formerly a general manager at IBM, where he was responsible for the group's retail brands and products worldwide. He is a non-executive director of Intercede Group plc. | ![]() igoe104
24/11/2006 09:03 | Interesting discussion with timarr on motley fool who has experience of the sector. His understanding is that the Bell ID AndIS product only offers card issuance as opposed to the card issuance + credential management offered by MyID. That would explain why Bell has only been incorporated into Gemalto government and enterprise products with Gemalto expanding the integration to include their own credential management. MyID on the other hand can provide a complete service out of the box and so is more useful to a wider range of partners - would explain why the likes of Oracle chose them as the de facto CMS for their new Identity Management System. | ![]() wjccghcc

23/11/2006 14:02 | Relative to the size of this Co, today's order with VeriSign has huge potential for IGP: "VeriSign Inc operates intelligent infrastructure services that enable and protect billions of interactions every day across the world's voice and data networks. Every day, we process as many as 18 billion Internet interactions and support over 100 million phone calls. We also provide the services that help over 3,000 enterprises and 500,000 Web sites to operate securely, reliably, and efficiently. VeriSign is a global enterprise with offices throughout the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Latin America, and North America, supported by a widespread international network of data centers and operations centers. As next-generation networks emerge, VeriSign will be there, deploying the intelligent infrastructure services necessary for everything from RFID supply chains, to inter-enterprise voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to the seamless delivery of mobile content. Whether you're a carrier looking to rapidly deploy new services, a Fortune 500 enterprise needing comprehensive, proactive security services, or an organization looking to evolve its trading-partner network, we can help. 'VeriSign's managed PKI solution made it possible for us to deploy an HSPD-12-compliant solution without making costly infrastructure investments, saving time and taxpayer dollars,' said Winona Varnon, Esq., director of security services, Department of Education. 'The seamless integration between the CMS and the SSP components represent a significant advantage over other solutions. Given VeriSign's extensive experience operating mission critical Internet infrastructure, we are confident we have made the right decision.' | ![]() rambutan2

23/11/2006 12:40 | Usually on a per card issued basis. Means there is big revenue upfront with the initial issuance, then an ongoing revenue stream as new employees/contractor It does also mean here though that most of the revenues won't be seen by IGP until the cards have been issued, ie 2007/8. | ![]() wjccghcc |
