20/11/2006 07:22 | Come on then, how many of us are feeling smug this morning ;-) | yump
20/11/2006 07:16 | HERE WE ARE INTERCEDE GROUP plc ('Intercede' or 'the Company') Additional US Federal Government Wins Intercede is delighted to inform the market that Operational Research Consultants, Inc. (ORC), a wholly owned subsidiary of WidePoint Corporation, and a RSA Security partner, has signed contracts with both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Federal Housing Finance Board (FHFB) to provide end-to-end managed services in support of their Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) compliance. ORC's hosted PIVotal ID Card Management System (CMS), powered by the RSA Card Manager will provide both agencies with end-to-end PIV card enrolment, issuance and management services. RSA Card Manager is powered by Intercede's MyID technology under an OEM licence agreement announced in 2005. Whilst the revenues from these contracts will not be material in Intercede's current financial year, the Directors believe that they are further evidence of the growing market traction being achieved by the MyID technology. Richard Parris, Chairman & Chief Executive of Intercede, commented: 'Intercede are delighted that both the FTC and the FHFB have selected MyID powered solutions from RSA Security and its partners. This announcement demonstrates that MyID has the flexibility and scalability to work not only as a stand-alone product, but also in a hosted environment, such as ORC, where multiple technologies and solutions are integrated to deliver an end-to-end service.' HSPD-12 is one of the most important and high profile security directives of recent years. It was issued by President Bush himself in August 2004 and required, firstly, the creation of an official federal standard (FIPS-201) for Personal Identity Verification (PIV), which would prescribe technologies and processes for the effective vetting and access control of all federal employees and contractors. The second requirement of HSPD-12 was for every US Federal Agency to have implemented a PIV solution by the end of October 2006, with all employees and contractors required to have a personal-201 compliant, smart card based identity card one year later. Each of these cards will be issued and managed using a management system such as MyID. All HSPD-12 solutions must by mandate only incorporate products that have been exhaustively tested against by the US General Services Administration (GSA), and included in the GSA's Approved Product List for PIV products. Intercede announced on 4 October 2006 that it had become the first product in its category to achieve this coveted status. It is estimated that almost 8 million identity cards will be issued under HSPD-12. Industry analysts Stanford Group estimate the total value of the programme to be worth approximately US$1.3 billion. About Intercede Intercede Group plc is a leading developer and supplier of smart card and identity management software listed on the London Stock Exchange (IGP LN) (IGP.L). The Group's MyID software manages the secure registration, issuance and lifecycle of digital identities for a wide range of uses. Intercede works with a number of market leading OEM, re-seller and technology partners that supply MyID technology including: Athena Smartcard Solutions, Gemalto, RSA Security, SafeNet, Thales, VeriSign and a variety of systems integrators and other security product and service providers. 20/11/2006 07:14 | And another contract win announced this morning.... ;0) | garth
20/11/2006 06:59 | good post - thanks. | timely
20/11/2006 05:30 | The tories won,t be able to change to bill to at least 2010/2011 anyway, that will be at least 3/4 years of id card payments anyway. (providing we are involved) intercede have a global brand anyway, and its the usa market, which is the main market to be involved with. ps fancy gordon brown to give the labour party a lift anyway when he takes over. can,t she middle britain wanting a ex druggy running the country. and when it comes to voting , all his collage drug days will hit the press.which won,t look good for him or his party. | igoe104
19/11/2006 20:34 | Lets hope the tories don't get into power next time as it will be bad news for growth companies like Intercede. | timely
19/11/2006 20:19 | Some good posts today, thanks to all for sharing it. | papalpower
19/11/2006 20:14 | from iii ID card procurement timetable revealed 17 Nov 06 | pork belly
19/11/2006 20:13 | WELL done wjcc. ps i,ve noticed their in abit of trouble, with late results. | igoe104
19/11/2006 20:09 | thanks WJCCGHCC. yes, it does kinda roll off the tongue :0) Verisign signed a Global OEM Licence for Intercede's MyID Software in Dec 05. "Under this contract Intercede will be paid to produce a custom version of MyID that will be exclusively integrated with a number of Verisign products and services. This agreement guarantees Intercede a share of Verisign's future services revenues for all services that incorporate the Verisign version of MyID to manage smart cards and other devices." | pork belly
19/11/2006 18:44 | Likewise rambutan. I too hope SMRT come good and once it's clearer how much they can punch above their weight outside Scotland, I'll certainly be on board. For those IGP followers, here's another PIV contract not yet announced. This is the first for Verisign - MyID is the basis for the Verisign Card Management System. 11/16/06 -- 09:40 AM Education hires VeriSign to improve PIV card issuing By Kerri Hostetler, GCN Staff The Education Department already passed the Oct. 27 Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 test, requiring all agencies to issue at least one Personal Identification Verification Card, but now it wants to make issuing the cards easier. Education awarded a $1.5 million, three-year contract to VeriSign of Mountain View, Calif., for its integrated authentication services. VeriSign will supply the agency with its PIV card management system and shared-service provider, public-key infrastructure (PKI) solution. DLT Solutions of Herndon, Va., is a partner with VeriSign on the contract, said Doug Natal, vice president of sales for VeriSign. The new system lets Education issue PIV cards faster, and it will let the agency fully comply with the mandate sooner. All agency employees and contractors must have a PIV card by October 2008. The new system is a single platform that lets Education manage the distribution and use of PIV cards and PKI credentials. Winona Varnon, Education's director of security services, said the VeriSign software makes it possible for the department to deploy an HSPD-12-compliant system "without making costly infrastructure investments..." VeriSign will issue about 10,000 PKI certificates, which will begin immediately, Natal said. Education is one of 10 agencies that chose to meet the Oct. 27 deadline on its own. | wjccghcc
18/11/2006 22:00 | Thanks Ram. You've not done badly on RTS either. :0) Still a little gutted by RTS and HYD moves to Aim. Kind regards, G. | garth
18/11/2006 20:32 | garth, thanks. i for one appreciated your interest in igp and hope that smrt works out well for you. regards rambutan | rambutan2
18/11/2006 19:45 | Igoe, I know SMRT are on the list of certified providers in their own right and have been there since the start of the consultation process - I haven't added up how many of IGP's partners are listed (I'm assuming that IGP might well be riding more than one horse in the race). Are you able to tell me to save me a job? I recall that Oberthur are there. Thanks, G. | garth
18/11/2006 17:37 | Most of the investors that are investing into igp are investing for 2007/08 where we are expecting massive growth ID card procurement timetable revealed But tendering process won't start before April 2007 | igoe104
18/11/2006 17:19 | Current Market cap £20M. That is not too bad igoe, but how long until they are making £1m and justifying the current valuation? Probably some of the share prices you have suggested are just a little out of touch with the current fundamentals..... The current valuation of SMRT has little to do with assessing a fair valuation of IGP - and as I've said all along I believe them to be complementary investments. IGP are further down the road than SMRT. However, SMRT are already profitable and are rated on 20X current year's earning and just 10X next year's forecasts. I took advantage of the drop last week and was rewarded when they announced another contract win on Thursday. Anyone putting money into IGP following the rise early in the week was taking a risk - and they have been well rewarded for that risk. But let no mistake be made: IGP is a news/momentum play at the moment and could move either way quickly. Medium term they remain an attractive investment though. I sold them because at that point I needed my non-ISA cash elsewhere - not because I don't believe they are a good investment. Eighteen months later they are storming on the share price front and are looking like moving fully into profitability. Once again I offer my congratulations and kind regards to the thoughtful long-termers here whose patience has been rewarded. You really don't need to be so adversarial Igoe. G. | garth
18/11/2006 15:49 | i,m sure more contract news will be out soon, i,m expecting igp to be involved in a big chunk of this amercian market. Intercede is currently working with a number of partners, including a large HSPD-12 service provider, for the provision of additional PIV solutions to a range of other US Federal agencies. ps how are smrt doing garth . LOL | igoe104
18/11/2006 15:43 | The sudden inflation of the share price along with the continued moves up on trades of any volume mean that they would be mad not to grab some loot before things cool off again, IMO - whether they need it right now or not. The last time they raised cash it was, from memory, in 2003 at around 7p (a significant discount to the price at the time) and only the directors were invited to put their snouts in the trough..... G. | garth
18/11/2006 14:29 | Lots of talk about a placing above. In my opinion, they might take the opportunity to raise a couple of £m, but probably better to await any further contract wins to come through. I would have thought that they could easily raise funds at 50p now. With more good news it may be higher than that. Anyway, it's all going very well for those in at c20p and been here for a while. Our patience looks like it is being rewarded! | topvest
18/11/2006 10:54 | new partner, msystems taken over my world leader sandisk. About SanDisk SanDisk, the world's largest supplier of flash memory data storage card products, designs, manufactures and markets industry-standard, solid-state data, digital imaging and audio storage products using its patented, high density flash memory and controller technology. SanDisk is based in Milpitas, CA. ps whats interesting about yesterdays trades, they was more shares sold, than purchased, including a( 50,000 sell) makes you wonder if a big buyer, is mopping up. | igoe104
18/11/2006 10:38 | THE great thing about intercede it has many fingers in many pie,s. i expecting news with a deal from oracle, and msystems, more usa government contracts. also 2007 is the year when id cards are available for workers coming from aboard to work in the uk. also now we have the green light from the amercian government, other doors could open, new usa driving licences, usa national id card, and many other projects to make usa a more safer country to live in. PS I also had a indian last night, but choose cobra, instead to drink. going to the gym now to work it all off in a moment, also going to have to get myself more organised" off to new york in 2 weeks, to do some xmas shopping for 5 days. 17/11/2006 18:39 | A few beers followed by a curry with 4 of us and the other halves is the order of the evening. I shall raise a glass of Kingfisher to IGP knowing we will be toasting even higher levels over coming weeks. This has the potential of being the share of 2007! | aphrodites
