15/9/2006 13:50 | Sorry to split hairs, but shouldn't it be 'slugs' of 10k when selling and tranches of 10k when its buying ? ;-) | ![]() yump
15/9/2006 13:34 | Who thinks an announcement will be made in October as to the extent of any contract - or do you think they will just update in December with the accounts? TTB as you say, some slugs of 10k going through recently - a few weeks ago I think we had 3 tranches of 10k sold in one day - why do that when things look positive... | ![]() carly2
15/9/2006 12:52 | No apparent interest from anyone outside this board, in fact more apparent sales than buys, and yet the offer creeps up. Mysterious! October draws closer... :0) | ![]() taurusthebear

13/9/2006 11:03 | Nice new thread, though the Homeland Consortium hasn't yet won any of the contracts to issue PIV cards though they are one of only 3 or 4 approved solutions so should get a good chunk of the business. Saw Gemplus warned this morning but that's probably more to do with disruption from the merger with Axalto - plus security is only a small part of their business. | ![]() wjccghcc
13/9/2006 10:32 | WITH BEING PART OF THE HOMELAND CONSORTIUM, there could be a possible involvement in this in the future. also worth a read. | ![]() igoe104

28/8/2006 12:10 | Taurus, I wasn't implying that you need to wait 3 years for a decent return. I meant you would need to wait 2-3 years for a superlative return. I'm already currently sitting on a decent return after a year (15%). | ![]() wjccghcc
26/8/2006 18:08 | know one, knows what to except in the future for anything, in life, but what i can except is igp being involved in sector thats going to have growth of 1000% and over, id/smart card market, and with the big named worldwide, household name partners they have, the company looks to be on the right track. | ![]() igoe104
26/8/2006 17:10 | I'm still happy with IGP, albeit as a prisoner, because I can't sell even if I wanted to, but I find the pronouncement (implied, if not stated) of anyone expecting a decent return on their investment to expect to wait at least 3 years to be a bit rich... 1) Most people, in the Internet Age, don't think 3 years ahead, and why should they, technology moves too fast! 2) If they did, they'd expect a pretty good, surefire, ROE, which, let's be honest, IGP doesn't offer, copper-bottomed or otherwise. 3) The digital security market is embryonic, and represents, at best, moving goalposts, so perhaps that's why IGP is at such a low market cap. - until October and beyond, does anyone know what to expect? Happy to hold, because I don't have much alternative! :0) | ![]() taurusthebear
26/8/2006 14:56 | The Irish news is interesting given IGP's execution of the Irish tachograph project (clearly successful after the IBM nomination in the recent awards). | ![]() wjccghcc
25/8/2006 19:47 | I THINK one of the main reasons for getting duncan hine on board, is his experiance in winning contracts in the public sectors like health care. i remember being a holder of nis, and they had a nack, of picking up government/ public sector contacts. (which duncan hine, had an involvment with.) could this be one of the reasons, hes on-board for, government health smart cards. the board must be hoping his involvment might swing a contract or two. | ![]() igoe104
