From AIX, Hamburg. Talk through on the EAN, nicely explained by Inmarsat rep.

Well, they may pick over the bones, but why bother?I hazily believe they are a customer for satellite control though, but can't remember what the contract is worth?

I know this isn't really the place, but as some posters here seem obsessed with Avanti Communications, they released an RNS today:

The company is proposing a debt for equity swap which will swap some of its debts for 92.5% of the equity.

Avanti warns that if this restructuring does not go through by April 30th it will go into administration.
But then adds:

"...if the Restructuring completes but the Company is unable to raise Additional Funds of at least US$50 million and secure US$40 million infrequently recurring revenue in pipeline by 30 June 2018 then the Company will, within the 3 months, be highly likely to be unable to pay its creditors."

"In the event that the Company is unable to meet such obligations as a result of the failure of the Restructuring to complete or the failure to raise sufficient Additional Funds, the Directors would likely seek to place the Company into some form of insolvency proceeding"

I suspect they won't be competing with Inmarsat (or being bought by them) anytime soon.

Wouldn't surprise me to be honest... Perky today, dead cat bounce, private value investors with new financial year money?

Trouble is with ISAT is that it has some amazing competitive advantages, BUT, the amount it needs to spend is substantial (Cap exp $500 to $600M for the next 3 years).

So business needs to increase massively to compensate, otherwise net debt figure will continue to rise over the next 3 years. It is only really when either revenue increased massively or in 2021 when cap ex drops, and this starts to generate some cash that it becomes interesting. One for the brave IMO

Technically, with the 400p support well and truly broken, it looks increasingly like this will drift down to 300p (last seen in 2005).

Not an experiment, but a means to make money in a special situation. As ellie has said, either a big upswing, or brought to it's knees.
I think this will start to turn, although unless there is some positive news in the pipeline, the turn will be gradual. Shorts won't rush to close until they see definite support. At that point, their exit will be gradual. Some fund of equal weight will have to start to build a position, if it thinks this company is going places. The strength of their commitment will be a deciding factor on whether there will be a short squeeze.
This is my biggest loser at the moment. Not going to sell, because I dislike being mugged. Credit Suisse have looked more closely at this than most on here. I'll stick with them for a while.

Last day to offset any losses you may have against gains elsewhere in other shares.

Out of all the research and explanations provided about the dividend been too high and not sustainable, which proved correct, many a person still believed it was fireproof. Now we have situations of a fire sale of the share price with supports being broken on a daily basis.

Maybe its all just a big experiment.

They must be making between 3 & 5% per day and laughing all the way to the bank. I wonder if it is inside information fuelling this to the advantage of mates rates !

"You scratch my back and I will scratch yours"

Either a big unexpected upswing or brought to it's knees.

So many people dumping their shares carrying huge losses I expect.

Many a gambler trying to call the bottom only to be taken out once again with stop losses repeated until you are broke.

This is now almost entertaining, watching how low it can go... A reminder of the importance of momentum. Does anyone know when will EAN really kick off? From Inmarsat's website: "The EAN will officially enter commercial service following the completion of testing on-board our launch customer’s aircraft, which is scheduled for the first half of 2018." We're already in April...

I would suggest waiting to see the next set of numbers. ISAT issues quarterly updates and the next one will give more detail on the current position.

20 cent forecast annual gives a yield of 4.25 per cent but I do not see that providing much support.

At this rate of share price decline, the dividend yield should soon be back up to 10% ...........

I lost money here, but it could have been so much worse. What I have learnt over the years is do not fight the market, whatever you may think of the business.

And brokers forecasts are also falling just as fast but lagging behind.

I am of the opinion that venture capitalists are covertly behind this and a takeover is imminent for the future prospects of this company.

When will it start falling ? It is not a fantasy to see the share price fall by 90% from its highest peak. We have all seen this scenario in other shares from high flying blue chip companies that have fallen and even gone bankrupt.

Doubt over licence issues with problems in Europe, debt from Ligado which in my opinion will get written off rather than payments restarting if they are not successful in gaining the FCC approval.

Fund managers heavily shorting, private investors told to buy CFD shorts to £3.

Debt and new technology with cheaper launches and satellites downsized to miniscule levels compared to bus sizes of years gone by.

After all that, many including myself really believed £5:00 was the bottom and all the bad news was therefore reflected in that fall from £11 to £5 with the quirky bounces off the £5 mark just a couple of months ago.

As also mentioned yesterday in a post that their own approved suppliers recommend Iridium over Inmarsat. If you don't believe, contact Inmarsat for a list of their approved suppliers and contact them for your own research to see how many (not just in Europe)are promoting Inmarsat.

Maybe Inmarst's CEO and Directors should start doing their own investigations and research rather than seeing if that iceberg will repair the damage itself and they will stay afloat.

As shareholders, we all have a right to know the truth and not having to find out from 3rd party sources with regards to behind the scenes fiasco.
