There's a bit of interest in Avanti with their satellite launch and debt for equity swap due imminently.....

It’s income funds which are selling down their positions.

If there was a big profit warning we would have a big loss and then more selling immediately after but it would stabilise quicker.

Income funds are forced sellers and it is taking time to find new bulls who feel it is a compelling buy despite the price falls.

Rises one day and falls the next to fool you everything is ok. Known as the piranha effect because it takes little bites out of you daily rather than devour you all at once.

Research also shows Iridium is far better than Inmarsat.

Reminds me of the days when ADT, Modern Alarms and Thorn bought by Ashcroft who then sold to Tyco.

I wonder if the same amalgamation will come to fruition within the satellite industry ?

Although losing heavily, I am not prepared to sell out at this stage only to see the shares snapped up for a bargain price by the vultures awaiting.

Simply goes to show that analysts are like birds of feather, they flock together. The only really interesting analysis is that which is markedly different in take and recommendation to the others. It is the contrarian note that grabs the fund managers attention.

.....and then they went and screwed up by upping their forecast to 450p....now they look as stupid as the rest of them.....

Whatever you think about brokers, the original Numis note was way ahead of the game and everyone thought they were mad when they predicted 400p.

Suspect you're right. The company might try to reassure but a two thirds cut in the annual dividend payout speaks louder than words.

In my very humble opinion, ISAT is more likely to see 300pps before it visits 400p again.......but I'm not a broker who is paid to peddle lies and incompetence to gullible mug investors........

The most recent Numis forecast got it horribly wrong. I wonder how far out the other cretins are going to be on their next estimates?

This is a Corporate Finance MBA, single chapter on how finance is structured... any reasonably large company should be following something close to this process as part of their project roll out and planning.

The key takeaway is that the term of the debt should match the term of the project and the currency mix should match the companies cash flow.

Is a dollar revenue business with I presume most of the debt in dollars, so I don’t think there’s much to see here.

"For a company that earns in USD and spends in GBP that’s not a great scenario..."

You're right, but which company are you talking about? It's not Inmarsat.

Don't forget the GBP is getting stronger vs USD.For a company that earns in USD and spends in GBP that's not a great scenario...Market open wont be kind to this one today. Futures down 1% right now...
