I know how you feel Steeplejack. I'm taking an enormous bath on three shares just now. Inmarsat, Interserve, an Itoconix.

Perhaps I should avoid companies whose name begins with an 'I'. Ha. Although, to be fair, when I bought Itaconix they were actually called Revolymer who did a reverse takeover of Itaconix and took their name.

All of these companies seem to have one thing in common. Poor management or poor strategy. Or both....

This stock has got in me in a dither.I seem incapable of reading the RNSs correctly.I thought they had cut the final dividend at a glance to 20cents only to discover that that was the proposed full year payout forecast and now I seem incapable of discerning holding notifications. It is a sad fact that unsuccessful investments take a disproportionate amount of your time.I have a holding in Dechra Pharmaceuticals which is worth ten times more than my holding in ISAT but its this crock that has me going hither and thither.

My reading is they sold at least 2% and have now bought enough back to take them back over a 5% stake.

Looking at them at advfn is not the best. They seem to scramble them. I use Investegate and they maintain the original format.

I think RCT is correct. Blackrock didn't get down to 3.65%. That was just one element of their holding. All we can tell from the isolated RNS is that they have gone from below 5% to above 5%.

The previous RNS on 2nd March shows that they went below 5% but it isn't clear by how much.

The format of these RNS's is poor !

Yes,I misread it,the latest RNS confirms that Blackrock has bought back some of the substantial amount of stock it previously sold .

Yes the inference is that Blackrock dumped 3.3 percent of the equity to get down to 3.65 per cent and then subsequently added to just sneak over the 5 per cent threshold.

Okay. Just so we are clear then. The latest RNS shows Blackrock adding rather than reducing ?

dex that is not correct

they had 6.98% and then went below 5%
they have now got over 5% again at 5.06%

Dexdringle is right but actually Blackrock seem somewhat confused too.Back on 2 March they went under 5 percent.---------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- 6. Not one piece of positive news relating to this company.

In debt, new contracts being relied upon not yet signed of (if ever), Ligado not paying money (and probably wont), brokers downgrading, shorters continue to short (and winning), false breakouts only to see daily falls and constant rumours on takeover mean nobody has to do anything but sit on their hands and wait.

It seems they have give up and just treading water.

Hi all,

I agree these holdings RNS's are (deliberately ?) unclear. In addition to the 3.65% , they have 1.40% 'other instruments'. It's not apparent how much of an increase , other than being at least .06% above the 5%......

If you distil, you get

Resulting situation : 3.65% 1.40% 5.06% 458,407,820
---------------------- ------------------------- ---------------- ---------------- -------------
Position previous Below 5% Below 5% Below 5%

I’m more interested in the fact that Blackrock are selling heavily, now under 5 percent threshold ie down to 3.65 percent".

That's odd. I read the RNS as Blackrock having BOUGHT shares and gone UP from 3.65% to over 5% ??????

CVR directors bought at £3, shortly before it dropped to £1, so I don't put much weight on director buys unless it's for big amounts

Hit my stop loss today at 387. Took loss on 600 shares, retaining 200 shares , having only taken a small 800 share position last Thursday @ 430.68 . It is not the first time that I have tried to catch a falling knife (often not a good idea).
Decided to do so ,since the results seemed not so bad , the divi cut a good idea and foreward guidance gave assurance of future income streams . I bought at the end of day last Thursday after heavy price fall but obviously still bought too early .
NUMIS have now upgraded from SELL to HOLD .
Hedge funds dropped 917,000 shares into the market today @ 386.7.
Only disclosed, as usual , after market close .
If no adverse news emerge , there will be a big scramble eventually to close exposed short positions .
