I've been short since 440 myself. Nothing inherently wrong with the company but got to trade the direction of travel. If it bounces strongly off 400 I'll start closing but it's not looking that way so far.

Do you have a price target in mind to buy back in RCT2? Or are happy to watch from the sidelines?

There is nothing to support the price now.

No dividend of any size and no improvement in the actual cash flow etc. until several years from now.

Once 400 breaks it's going to get messy.

Ooooff!! Broker forecasts here have mostly been compiled by cretins...... Numis seem to have got it wrong by upgrading to 450pps. They should have left it at 400p.

If they are adding more shares twice a year, (as hor-fra suggests) no wonder the share price is being diluted. Simply mathematics just like devaluing a currency by issuing more money.

Some people like the ones who could not understand the correlation between the share price and the dividend being cut, hence todays total mess and depreciation with brokers constantly reducing the forecast.

Numis were either very lucky or carried out forensic research to be on the money.

AHL Partners back in with reportable short @ 0.50% having been under threshold since early Dec.

Thanks hor_fra. Numis price target for ISAT raised from 400p to 450p and from sell to hold, after the recent results.

The total number of shares is 458,407,820, so I don’t see how 748,608 will make a difference when it comes to ‘share price support’. Also, note that ISAT do this regularly, at least two times a year.

As for Numis being spot on… well, let’s hope the tide is turning then, since they’ve actually upgraded ISAT today, albeit from sell to hold.

Not me badger. i opened a small new long position just before market close on Friday after reading Quarterly report . the report sounded positive to me and happy with the divi cut which was just the right thing to do . Did some research over the weekend and happy to hold for medium term even if it falls further to 400. Share buy, not spread bet.

....so the collapse in the share price must be due to shareholders dumping their stock........

AQR still reducing short position.

And no increase from JP Morgan for nearly a month. 4.52% aggregate short.

Windy.......turn the clock back to my post #2775 Dec 2017, when AVN was trading circa 8pps. You poo poo'd it, and in the the meantime it has recently peaked at over 15pps (nearly 100% up). Currently trading at 12.5p they are launching their Hyas4 satellite on 21st March, and converting £400mio debt for equity sometime in April. There is a strong feeling that AVN is being "tidied-up" so that it can be sold @ circa 30pps.......as the 3 debt converted lenders will own 92.5% of the company who apparently also have seats on the board.Do yourself a favour and look at the AVN BB, as there are a few very well informed posters there. Huge upside potential here.....and not alot of downside......

This developing (and surprising) story is well worth a read - highlights the regulatory hurdles and fears which may act as a barrier to the kind of CubeSats which are perceived as a threat to Inmarsat's business:

When you bear in mind how little airlines make out of the average passenger ie about 9 dollars per head, the facility to gain an advantage over other airlines plus make a few more bob out of their customers is attractive.Personally,if I was going economy,I wouldn't bother to buy Wi-fi unless it was a long haul but if I was in business, first class I would expect to have the facility in the price.....and the airline will have to purchase it.

You're getting circa 10% (growth and dividend) appreciation every year at these levels...

I don't see why it has to be expensive. Even on a short haul flight I bet many would pay £5 to access wifi on their phones and ipads. Even with only 20 takers, £100 on every short haul flight every day would be massive.

I'm short here but I disagree about the demand for in flight broadband. I reckon half the passengers would pay £20 for proper internet access on a long haul flight.

Yes and no.The size of the dividend cut is such that the yield is now below the large cap average so income funds might well automatically sell up but I suppose they wanted to put the cash flow question to bed. Thus, recovery, value funds and dare I say growth funds might take up the slack.
